The Abandoned Buccaneer Warehouse is a vital early-game Point of Interest (POI) in Windrose. It is heavily tied to the Glorious Hunters questline. What Happens in the Glorious Hunter Quest?
This quest focuses on uncovering the fate of a group of Buccaneers in the Coastal Jungle. It begins when you loot or inspect key items (such as the Broken Musket) found in Abandoned Buccaneer camps.
There are three camps to explore, all with similar layouts. Their locations will be marked on your map. Visit each one and search the area carefully to gather the required evidence.
Windrose Abandoned Buccaneer Warehouse Location
This area is in Coastal Jungle Island 2 within the Abandoned Buccaneer Camp.
Attention: Because Windrose uses procedurally generated maps, the exact coordinates of this island will vary for every player. However, you will find the Abandoned Buccaneer Camp located within the Coastal Jungle biome (usually the second island you visit). Sail around until you find the camp and look for the warehouse at the center of the POI.
Windrose Abandoned Buccaneer Warehouse Chests
There are two chests in the Abandoned Buccaneer Warehouse: one on a watchtower and the other hidden behind a wall.
Abandoned Buccaneer Warehouse First Chest
The evidence in this area is located in a chest on top of the ruined warehouse. You can deal with the boars nearby or simply avoid them and head straight for the climb. Scale the broken walls to reach the upper wooden platform, where you will find the chest. It contains the Damaged Flask and a Page from Marcel Boucher’s Diary.
Here, your goal is to reach a chest at the top of the ruined watchtower. Start by clearing out any enemies in the area. Then climb up the damaged structure. Look for a wooden plank jutting out from the edge. Use it to jump across to the watchtower.
Windrose Abandoned Buccaneer Warehouse Second Chest
There is a hidden chest located at this warehouse that stumps many players because it appears to be stuck behind a wall.
Before leaving, make sure to loot every chest in the area. There is also a hidden one behind a secret door. Look for a large button on a nearby wall to open it.
To access it, clear the ground floor of enemies and look for a stone protrusion (button) on the western wall. Interact with this switch to open the wall. Then you can loot the hidden cache.
Important Tip: Beware of Boars!
Approaching the Abandoned Buccaneer Warehouse can be a massive difficulty spike if you arrive at a low level (such as Level 2).
- The Threat: The front of the warehouse is heavily guarded by aggressive Charging Boars, as well as a deadly Level 6 Savage Boar (the boss variant).
- Combat Tips: If you do not have your musket yet, rely heavily on your melee blocking and dodging. Try to pull the boars one by one. Taking them on simultaneously often results in a quick death.
