Talia Cyberpunk age is one of those questions Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 makes weirdly hard to answer. Talia Yang’s connection with Roman Carax puts her age under a microscope, yet the show reveals Roman’s age while staying quiet about hers. I expected a number by Episode 5. Instead, Night City hands us another mystery.

How Old Is Talia Yang in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2?
Talia Yang’s exact age is never confirmed, but she is a teenager. The clearest clue comes from Episode 5, “Fades (Pass the Distance),” when Talia speaks to Weak Kingsley while recovering in the hospital. Facing the possibility that she might die young, Talia worries that she’ll never grow old and describes herself as a “gonk teenager.”
That tells us she’s somewhere between 13 and 19 years old, but the show never narrows it down further. We also know that Talia’s birthday is April 2, but her birth year remains unknown. Without that missing detail, there’s no way to calculate her exact age during the events of Edgerunners 2.
Talia isn’t alone in this. Omi’s age in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is also unconfirmed, even though her birthday is known.
Is Talia 16 Years Old?
There’s no confirmation that Talia is 16. It’s a possible age, but nothing in the anime establishes that specific number. Her appearance doesn’t help much, either. Talia grew up in Night City’s corporate world before becoming involved with Maelstrom, a gang obsessed with cybernetic modifications.
Considering everything she’s been through, I can see why she might seem older than she actually is. Still, judging someone’s age by their appearance in a city where replacing body parts is practically a hobby isn’t exactly reliable.
How Old Is Roman Carax Compared to Talia?
Unlike Talia, Roman Carax is confirmed to be 12 years old. He reveals this in Episode 5 when Weak Kingsley asks him directly during their conversation at the hospital.
Weak also asks Roman about his relationship with Talia. Roman explains that they aren’t really dating and that he hasn’t even known her for very long. Their growing connection throughout the series makes the uncertainty surrounding Talia’s age more noticeable.
Roman’s age is established through dialogue, while Talia’s remains a mystery despite her openly referring to herself as a teenager. For now, the only definite answer is that Talia Yang is between 13 and 19 years old, and there’s no confirmed exact age. Whether she’s 16 or another age within that range remains unknown.
