Probably Stolen Odin: Choices & What He Buys

Probably Stolen Odin Haraldsson is a wanted criminal with a 300-Credit bounty. However, reporting him might cost you more than you earn. He’s a Revolution buyer who buys weapons and supplies from your shop. Turn him in, and you lose that business opportunity for good. His spending budget can grow from 350 to 1,500 Credits. He is more valuable than a one-time bounty.

Quick Answer: Spare or Keep

Quick Answer: I’d keep Odin as a customer if you’re looking for long-term profit, but your choice depends on what you need:

  • Report Odin immediately: Earn 300 Credits and gain Security reputation, but permanently lose him as a buyer.
  • Keep Odin: Unlock a recurring buyer whose spending budget can grow from 350 to 1,500 Credits.
  • Report Odin later: Collect a reported 350-Credit bounty and gain 5 Security reputation, but end your trading relationship.
  • Odin Number: 51189

What I recommend: Keep Odin unless you urgently need Credits or Security reputation. His repeat purchases can be worth more than the bounty.

Who Is Odin Haraldsson in Probably Stolen?

Odin is a member of the Revolution faction who visits your shop on Day 10, or Day 2 if you select Skip Intro. Unlike randomly appearing wanted customers, his first encounter is tied to a fixed story event. He offers to buy supplies for the Revolution and leaves a green Business Card with his contact information. If you let him go, you can arrange future visits by phone.

However, players who start with the Known Snitch perk won’t receive his visit, meaning they also lose access to his trading service. John Smith also has the same condition.

Probably Stolen Odin Choices

I recommend keeping Odin as a buyer unless you urgently need Security reputation or the bounty. The immediate reward is tempting, but maintaining the relationship can provide more opportunities to make money.

Your DecisionConsequences
Report Odin ImmediatelyReceive 300 Credits and gain Security reputation. Permanently lose access to Odin as a buyer.
Keep Odin as a CustomerReceive his Business Card and unlock recurring trading visits.
Report Odin on a Later VisitReceive 350 Credits and gain 5 Security reputation. His phone number stops working permanently.

Reporting Odin also damages your relationship with the Revolution faction. If you’re trying to maintain a good relationship with them, that is another reason to think twice before calling Security. You can report him during a later arranged visit, but once he’s turned in, the trading relationship is over.

How to Call Odin and Arrange Another Visit?

After his first visit, you can call Odin by dialing 51189. Accept his offer to arrange another meeting.

DetailValue
Odin’s Phone Number51189
Time Until Arrival2 days after calling
Phone Cooldown5 days
Starting Buying Budget350 Credits
Maximum Base Budget1,500 Credits

The cooldown starts when you arrange the appointment, not when Odin arrives. I made sure there was enough stock available before calling him. Otherwise, you could waste a valuable trading opportunity waiting for the next appointment.

All Items Odin Will Buy in Probably Stolen

Odin mainly purchases combat supplies for the Revolution. His accepted goods include the following:

Item TypeCan Odin Buy It?
FirearmsYes
AmmunitionYes
Melee WeaponsYes
ArmorYes
Access CardsYes
Supply CratesYes
PoisonYes
Other MunitionsYes

He also accepts Contraband, although he pays less than you might receive from other buyers. I’d compare his offer with the item’s value before accepting a deal.

How to Increase Odin’s Buying Budget

Odin begins with a 350-Credit base budget, which grows as he purchases goods.

The increase depends on the price of each item.

Item Sale PriceFuture Budget Increase
Below 8 CreditsNo increase
8–9 Credits+1 Credit
10–14 Credits+2 Credits
15 Credits or more15% of the sale price, rounded down

His base budget eventually reaches 1,500 Credits, before any applicable customer-budget bonuses. For long-term trading, in my own run, I prioritized selling him valuable eligible items rather than filling his visits with cheap goods. That helped increase the amount he’s able to spend during future appointments.

Why Odin Does Not Answer the Call: Troubleshooting

If dialing 51189 gives you no answer, the problem isn’t necessarily a bug.

  • You reported Odin: His number is permanently disabled.
  • The cooldown is active: You must wait before arranging another appointment.
  • A Crackdown is underway: His telephone service is temporarily unavailable.
  • You chose the Known Snitch perk: Odin never makes his initial visit.
  • You’re Blacklisted by the Revolution: Completing Odin’s refusal can permanently disable his contact.

The important difference is whether the restriction is temporary. A cooldown or Crackdown can end, but reporting Odin permanently removes him as a buyer.
