Luna Abyss Ending Explained
Luna Abyss ends with a brutal betrayal. After Fawkes’s final fight against the Hands of the Abyss, she is suddenly confronted by none other than Aylin. Throughout the story, several characters warned Fawkes not to trust her. Even the dying god, Mani, said she was manipulating her. But Fawkes ignored the warnings and stayed loyal to her.
Fawkes gets shocked and suddenly realizes that Aylin had been watching everything the whole time. She asks if Aylin was always there, to which Aylin replies that they did well and that they can rest now because Aylin will handle the rest herself.
What Happens to Fawkes and Aylin?
Fawkes quickly becomes terrified and demands to know what she really is and what she means. Aylin completely ignores the questions. She keeps speaking in a cold, reassuring way, telling her that nothing can hurt them anymore.

She captures Fawkes’s mind and says she’s giving them the “freedom” she promised. But quite frankly, her idea of freedom is pretty terrifying. She completely wipes Fawkes’s memories away and coldly says it doesn’t matter because Fawkes won’t remember anyone or any of the pain they went through.
In the end, Fawkes becomes an empty soul who was used by Aylin from the start. With Fawkes fully under her control, Aylin takes their mind deep into the center of the Abyss, a place called the Womb of Silence. There, she speaks to a giant being she calls “Mother.”

Aylin offers Fawkes as the final part of a ritual and says she has finally come home. Then, she tells the creature to awaken the true god hidden in the depths: the Silent One.
The game ends there, which leaves everything on a huge cliffhanger. To be honest, it hit me hard too. The game leaves a lot to be desired, though. Let’s see if there’s a sequel in the future. If there’s one, I hope they can fix, at the very least, the pacing of the story.

Does Luna Abyss Have Multiple Endings?
Do choices matter in Luna Abyss? No. There’s only one ending. Here’s the thing. Let me explain: The story choices and dialogue options do not really matter because they don’t change what happens in the game, especially the ending.
Luna Abyss is mostly linear, which means no matter what you say or choose during conversations, the main ending still plays out almost the same way. The decisions can slightly change certain moments or reactions, but they do not alter the overall outcome of Luna Abyss or stop the final betrayal from happening.
