There are five coffin locations scattered around the eerie world of Reanimal. In this guide, I will show you how to get every single coffin which unlocks the secret ending. You can also get the Friends Reunited trophy/achievement simply by collecting all five coffins. With that out of the way, let’s visit all five of our fallen friends.

All 5 Coffin Locations
The Reanimal secret ending is cool and all, but if you’re going for the secret ending, there are a couple of things you should consider if you don’t want to spend your time on another playthrough. You should know that all of the coffins must be collected during one playthrough.
You can’t use chapter select either. They all must be collected in one run. If you miss one coffin, you have to start from scratch. So, I highly recommend that you create a manual save at the start of each chapter and keep track of what coffins you’ve collected so far to avoid the drama. I wonder why Tarsier Studios did that! Remember that you should interact with each coffin for it to count.
Coffin 1 – Chapter 1: Dead in the Water
After you cross the bridge, instead of going straight through the tunnel, get off the train car and take a right.
Go through the broken train and on the other side of the train, you should find your very first coffin.
Interact with it so that the game counts it as discovered.
Coffin 2 – Chapter 3: After the Flood
When you get the harpoons for the first time, leave the area. Hop in the boat and turn around. Blow up the mine in front of you with your harpoon. Then, take a right.
Kill the creature in front of you, then take an immediate right again.
As you continue down the water path, you should blow up two mines next to each other
Now you can see that the wall got blown into pieces, and you can go through it. Continue until you see a yellow glowing door. Enter.
Down the long stairs, you’ll find the second coffin. Interact with it.
Coffin 3 – Chapter 3: After the Flood
You’re gonna find the third coffin in Chapter 3 as well. Shortly after the second one, you get to the big open area of water with a giant white cannon in the center. Take the right route to the cannon until you finally reach a cave.
In the cave lies a creature you should kill with your harpoon. Be cautious.
Continue along the way until you reach a dead end with a coffin in the center.
Coffin 4 – Chapter 4: No Shelter
The fourth one is actually found in Chapter 4. It happens when you get to the clock tower at the very end of the chapter.
Before you interact with the wheel as shown in the picture, go to the bottom left door to find the fourth coffin.
Coffin 5 – Chapter 7: The Spoils
Last but not least, the fifth coffin is found in the hospital area during the part where you run away from soldiers who blow themselves up with grenades.
When you get to this wheelchair part, just wait it out.
After you no longer hear any explosions, you can see, as shown in the picture, that there’s a hole in the wall. Go through there.
Interact with the rusty handle to open the bunker. Now, climb down. At the bottom you’ll find the fifth and final coffin in the game.
When Does Reanimal’s Friends Reunited Unlock?
Don’t get too excited just yet. The Friends Reunited trophy/achievement doesn’t immediately pop after you find the fifth coffin. It only pops up when the secret ending plays. All you have to do is beat the game. After you finally see the name of the game on the screen, that’s when the secret ending starts to play. Hence you’ll see your Friends Reunited trophy/achievement.
