How to Fix the Forza horizon 6 Discover Winter Bug
A lot of players pushing for full map completion have discovered that simply playing during the winter season does not always trigger progress correctly. If your Forza horizon 6 Discover Winter challenge refuses to update, players have found a workaround that consistently solves the issue:
- Open the pause menu and launch any EventLab race that uses a different season. You can also use the Monthly Rivals event if preferred.
- Finish the event or leave once it has loaded.
- After returning to free roam, the Forza horizon 6 Discover Winter notification should appear and properly register your progress.
Weekly Challenge: 2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupe
This week’s four-part challenge revolves entirely around the 2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupe.
Own and Drive
You receive this car for free during the campaign once you unlock your first yellow Horizon wristband. If you no longer own it, simply purchase another one through the Auction House.

Earn Three Stars at Speed Traps
Your goal is to collect three total stars from Speed Traps. A reliable location is the Ito Straight trap located on the western side of the Ito region. For easier runs, apply S2 tune 732 753 401 for strong handling and aero performance or use 381 860 893 as another solid option. Since stars accumulate across multiple attempts, even stock setups can eventually complete the objective.
Photo Challenge
Open Photo Mode and capture an image of your BMW M2.
Soni Time Trial
Head over to the Soni Circuit located in the Takashiro region and complete three laps. There is no target time requirement. Therefore, this objective can be finished comfortably with almost any setup.

Forza horizon 6 Discover Winter: Collectibles and Photo Challenge Locations
- Pitcherperfect (Photo Challenge): Take a picture of your vehicle inside Edogawa Baseball Stadium. The correct stadium is located in central Tokyo, not the larger stadium positioned toward the western edge of the map.
- Snack Attack (Collectibles): Destroy five vending machines around Tokyo. Areas near Tokyo Tower and food delivery locations tend to have plenty available. One important detail: the required “Feed Me” skill has a brief cooldown timer. Hit one machine, wait a few seconds, then destroy the next rather than smashing several instantly.

Multiplayer Events: The Eliminator and Horizon Drift
Horizon Drift
Choose any Dodge vehicle and join the event. Since there is no minimum score requirement, you can complete this objective casually, even with a completely stock car.
The Eliminator
You only need to survive until the player count reaches the top 30. Aggressive players can challenge opponents for upgraded cars, while safer players can hide among vegetation and wait for the lobby to shrink before moving toward the final circle.
