Crumbling Farum Azula only has two Golden Seeds. They’re not too hard to grab once you know the path, but the area loves throwing skeletal beastmen and dive-bombing Stormhawks at you. Here’s the full lowdown, starting with how you even get here.

How to Reach Crumbling Farum Azula
This is a late-game main story area, so no shortcuts that unlock the whole place early (the Four Belfries teleporter only dumps you in a tiny disconnected side bit with a Pearldrake Talisman — not useful for these seeds).
- Progress to the Mountaintops of the Giants.
- Defeat the Fire Giant (southeast of the region, near the giant chains leading up).
- Cross the chains to the Forge of the Giants Site of Grace.
- Rest there and talk to Melina (or listen to the flame if you’re on the Frenzied Flame path). Tell her you’re ready to burn the Erdtree.
- Cutscene plays, Melina does her thing, and you wake up in Crumbling Farum Azula.
Once you rest at any Site of Grace in Farum Azula, fast travel unlocks again so you’re not stuck. The whole zone is basically one big crumbling cylinder you circle clockwise through temples, rooftops, and dragon-filled plazas.
Dragon Temple Lift Golden Seed Location
Its Closest Grace is Dragon Temple Lift (or Dragon Temple Altar after Godskin Duo)
This one sits on the upper rooftops of the Dragon Temple, behind a Stonesword Key door.
Progress through the area until you beat the Godskin Duo (or at least reach the Dragon Temple Altar Grace).
From the Dragon Temple Altar, head out the north-east exit or follow the path that leads toward the temple proper.
Look for the Imp Seal barrier (Stonesword Key door) in a passageway. You’ll need two Stonesword Keys to open it. Behind it is a lift that takes you up to the Dragon Temple Lift Site of Grace.
From the lift grace, head out and follow the main path south, toward the courtyard and pillars. You’ll spot the glowing golden tree pretty quickly.
Tips & Tricks
This golden seed is guarded by a bunch of skeletal beastmen. These guys hit hard in groups and can resurrect if you don’t finish them properly. Take them one at a time or pull them carefully so you don’t get swarmed.
Clear the beastmen slowly. They’re squishy but love jumping you. There’s also a Rune Arc nearby and a Teardrop Scarab that drops the Golden Lightning Fortification incantation if you explore a bit more.
Optional sleeping dragon nearby if you’re feeling brave (or just want the smithing stones and runes).
Near Dragon Temple Rooftop Golden Seed
Closest Grace to it is Dragon Temple Rooftop This one’s easier to spot but more annoying because of the birds.
Reach the Dragon Temple Rooftop Site of Grace (later in the zone as you continue clockwise). From the grace, head down toward the lower levels / great bridge area. You’ll pass a raised plaza full of pillars.
Look left (east or southeast) for a way up onto the pillar ruins. There’s a slope or jump onto rooftops.
You’ll see (and hear) a bunch of Stormhawks (Warhawks) hanging around. The glowing tree is among the pillars on that higher ground.
Nearby is a weakened Farum dragon that shoots lightning, you can ignore it or finish it off (it’s already low HP and drops good runes and an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone).
Tips & Tricks
Stormhawks are camera-lock nightmares and love dive-bombing. Use ranged attacks, spells, or just sprint past if you’re confident. Melee can struggle because they stay airborne.
The dragon is optional but easy to kill if you get under it and hack the legs. Once you grab the seed, you’re basically done with Golden Seeds in this zone.
