Dimraeth Skill Tree Guide: Paths, Corner Nodes & Skill Points

The Dimraeth skill tree is shaped by your race and class combo, with directional paths (east/west for class skills, north/south for racial ones) and unique corner nodes that define each archetype.

You spend XP to raise attributes and earn skill points, unlocking skills that cost Concentration regenerated by basic attacks.

Spell books found in the world let you permanently add abilities outside your starting class for hybrids, while easy respecs and a training dummy keep experimentation low-risk and fun.

The Big Picture on the Skill Tree

Your skill tree is shaped by the race and class combination you picked at character creation. That combo creates your archetype (Wild Strider, Echo Weaver, Earthshaker, etc.) and the tree is built around it.

Zoom all the way out and you’ll see four main directions:

  • East and West: mostly your class skills
  • North and South: mostly your racial skills

Each direction gently (or not-so-gently) pushes you toward a certain playstyle. North often leans into melee weapon skills. South tends to favor ranged tools or hybrid options.

The sides handle your class identity, stealth and bleeds on one path, poison or control on another, pure damage or crowd control somewhere else.

The really special stuff lives in the corners. Those big intersection nodes are unique to your exact race and class combo. An Elf Shadow gets completely different corner skills than a Minotaur Brawler or a Human Magician.

The filler nodes along the paths are more shared, with only small differences (pierce damage instead of strike damage, that kind of thing). Those unique corner skills are usually the high-value payoffs that make your build feel special.

How You Actually Progress

You earn experience by doing the usual things, killing stuff, finishing quests, exploring, clearing dynamic events and bounties.

You spend that XP at a trainer, campfire or fireplace to raise your attributes (Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Physique, Adventure, Charisma, Memory, Energy, and friends). Raising attributes also fills a separate leveling bar.

  1. When that bar fills up, you get skill points.
  2. You spend those skill points on the tree whenever you want.

Attributes aren’t just numbers. They gate a lot of the spells you’ll find out in the world, and they directly boost your damage, health, stamina, Concentration (that’s Dimraeth’s version of mana), carry weight and more.

Skills, Concentration, the Combat Loop

Most skills on the tree cost Concentration. The clever part is that Concentration regenerates when you land basic attacks. The game wants you weaving skills into your normal attacks instead of standing still and spamming. Some skills also cost stamina on top of that.

Once a skill is unlocked, you can use it freely. No weird cooldowns that make you feel punished for pressing buttons. It feels good.

Going Beyond Your Starting Class

Here’s where Dimraeth gets sneaky and fun. Your starting class is only the beginning.

Out in the world you’ll find glowing spell books. Pick them up, take them to the right trainer (Raina for melee skills, Tamson or Miral for magic), craft the recipe, then use the finished book from your inventory. Boom, new skill permanently unlocked, even if it has nothing to do with your original class.

This is how you end up with a Brawler who suddenly has a fire ability for hybrid burn damage or a Shadow dipping into support tools. Two players can start with the exact same race and class and still end up looking completely different by the end.

Respeccing Without the Regret

Made a mistake? No big deal.
Once you upgrade Bever’s shop in the Sanctum to level 1, you can buy the Elixir of Rebirth for 500 gold and fully respec. There are also skill-return scrolls and books floating around. The game is pretty forgiving about experimentation.

Dimraeth Skill Tree: Remaining Tips

Read the tips below twice. They’ll enhance your gaming experience:

  • Craft a wooden training dummy in the Sanctum as soon as you can. It is the single best way to test skill rotations and gear combinations without dying to the same wolf pack for the fifteenth time.
  • Don’t stress about picking the perfect path at level 1. The system is flexible on purpose.
  • The corner nodes are usually worth planning around. They’re the unique toys only your archetype gets.
  • The Codex is your best friend. If you ever see a term you don’t understand (Double Strike, some weird status effect, a set bonus), just open the Codex and type it in. It knows almost everything.
  • Gear sets and upgraded affixes play very nicely with the tree. A lot of a build’s real power comes from the combination of tree path + external spells + set bonuses working together.

Final Note

Dimraeth is currently available in Early Access. The current version includes the core gameplay loop, classes, skill trees, crafting, base building, and co-op, but the developers plan to expand the game with more content during development.
