Castlevania Belmont’s Curse Library Puzzle Solutions: Skeleton, Woman, Man

If you’ve reached the Library in Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, you have most definitely run into the Skeleton, Woman, or Man astronomical globe puzzles. These puzzles must each be solved by jumping on 4 specific light orbs in a sequence to form a unique pattern. The patterns are all revealed through clues spread out in the Library.

The Skeleton Globe’s pattern is revealed on a wall inside the Natural Philosophy Shelves section. The Woman’s clue lies in the Organic Astronomy document on a desk inside the Drawing Room. The Man’s clue is the Star Chart you collect at Astronomer’s Office. Check further below to find out where to access the globes themselves and how to solve them.

Castlevania Belmont’s Curse Library Puzzle Clues

The clues are spread through different spots of the Library. You can check each one’s location I’ve marked on the map to easily find and access them. However, you do NOT need to collect the clues in order to solve the globe puzzles.

Skeleton Clue

The first clue is the most accessible, as it is simply shown in a background wall within the room I’ve marked on the map, in the Natural Philosophy Shelves area.

Woman Clue

The second clue can be collected in the Drawing Room area of the Library. Once you enter the room, move to the right and then climb down a level. From there, go the left until you see a literal drawing room with design blueprints and a few desks next to each other. Pick up the Organic Astrology from the desk and examine the document closely. The pattern is clear once you put together the clues in the document’s text which reads as follows: “Mercury – Lungs / Jupiter – Liver / ??? – Blood”

Man Clue

The last clue is at the Astronomer’s Office where you can find the Star Chart. This document directly reveals the exact pattern you need to create to solve the Man Globe puzzles.

Castlevania Belmont’s Curse Library Puzzle Solutions

The solution to each globe puzzle relies on discovering the four light orbs you need to jump on. You need to light up the orbs in a sequence, although for the woman globe, there seems to be a glitch, as sometimes lighting up extra orbs doesn’t seem to fail the puzzle. Check each globe’s pattern below:

Skeleton Globe Solution

Four required light orb positions:

  • Upper-right
  • Middle-right
  • Lower-right
  • Middle-left

Make sure you drop on the upper right position first. Do NOT hit upper left as it messes up the pattern. Afterward, drop on the middle and lower light orbs, and lastly, pull a long jump to hit the middle left light orb.

NOTE: You can do this sequence in the reverse order if you want, though it’s much harder to do it that way!

Woman Globe Solution

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Library Woman Puzzle

Four required light orb positions:

  • Middle-right
  • Lower-right
  • (neon pink hook)
  • Middle-left
  • Upper-left

As of October 18, 2026, you do NOT need to do this one’s pattern in the order it is drawn. You simply need to jump on the required light orbs and light them up. Nevertheless, for the one in the Drawing Room, you can use the pink hook in the middle of the globe. Use it to traverse to the other side of the globe without touching the light orbs and successfully create the required pattern.

Man Globe Solution

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Library Man Puzzle

Four required light orb positions:

  • Middle-left
  • Lower-left
  • Lower-right
  • Middle-right

This one is the easiest of the three. Simply drop off the platform onto the middle left light orb and follow the light orbs (to the lower left and then lower right) until you reach the middle right orb.

NOTE: You can definitely do this pattern in the reverse sequence. The solution relies on the pattern you make not the sequence you follow.

Where to Find Each Puzzle Location

  • Drawing Room (Woman)
  • Study Room (Skeleton)
  • Astronomer’s Office (Man)
  • Planetarium (Skeleton + Woman + Man)
  • Observation Tower (Skeleton + Woman + Man)

How to Reach the Library Observation Tower

From the nearest Ferryman’s Wharf (Planetarium, behind a breakable wall), travel upward and then go left until you reach a large room with lots of light orbs. From there, you simply jump on the light orbs to ascend higher and travel to a room called the Planetarium. You must travel upward in the Planetarium if you want to reach a boss fight and progress the story. To travel upward, you must solve the Skeleton, Woman, Man globe puzzles so a large light orb will appear above. Rose can jump on those large light orbs to go higher and reach a new area.

What Happens After Solving the Library Puzzles in the Observation Tower?

After you solve each puzzle in the Observation Tower, you’ll climb and reach the Observatory. First thing I found was a chair. Let your Rose rest here and save the game because you’ll be facing the Occultist boss, Carmilla. Defeating Carmilla will grant you the Blood Spikes arcana card. It gives Rose a spell with the description: “Summons blood spikes to impale nearby enemies, dealing low damage and causing them to bleed. Always targets the furthest enemy on the platform.”

After defeating the boss, you can claim Brauner’s Paintbrush from a desk to the left of where you fought Carmilla. You need this item if you want to progress the story to the Notre Dame area. If you then go a little bit further to the left, you’ll get and unlock the incredibly useful ability, Aerial Rush. With this, Rose will be able to propel herself forward WHILE in the air.

Alex fell in love with video games at the age of 4, when his father bought him his first PC. He considers video games to be the upgraded version of the best books: a form of interactive art. His love of RPGs comes from the fact that he can spend hours immersed in a fictional universe and make choices that have meaningful impacts on the story. As a child, Alex would often spend hours trying to figure out the side quests in random games. There were no internet guides back then, so he knows exactly how frustratingly confusing or borderline impossible games can get. He intends to dedicate himself to saving other gamers from suffering the same fate.
