Ace Combat 8 MRP Farm: Best Ways to Earn MRP Fast

Ace Combat 8 MRP disappears a lot faster than it builds up the moment you start pushing deeper into the Aircraft Tree. The F-22A and F-35C each cost 550,000 MRP and the X-40 Nightmare costs 1,000,000. Those numbers are before you start spending on special weapons and upgrade parts. Then there’s MRP Aplenty, which asks you to earn 25 million MRP overall. Yeah, the game really wants you back in the cockpit.

If you want to farm MRP efficiently, Mission 16 is one of the quickest options, while Mission 27 can be even stronger with the right anti-ground setup. Mission 28 pays much more in a single run, but once you look at MRP per minute, the picture changes quite a bit.

Best Ace Combat 8 MRP Farm

Mission 16 is a particularly good MRP farm because the mission can be completed in only a few minutes once you know which ships you’re looking for. It is possible to finish Mission 16 in roughly 3:40 and earn 71,000 MRP, which works out to around 19,500 MRP per minute. The mission revolves around finding three disguised container ships.

The correct ships have three cranes on their decks and a sun emblem on the hull. Once you’ve memorized their locations and appearance, you can move between them quickly and then deal with the UAVs at the end. You don’t need to overcomplicate this mission. The important part for farming is simply identifying the three ships quickly enough that the UAV section doesn’t drag the run out.

Is Mission 27 Better for MRP?

Mission 27 can compete with, and in optimized runs potentially beat, Mission 16 in MRP per minute. For Mission 27, I’d go with a strong anti-ground setup such as the F-15E with SFFS or XSDB, or the Su-34 with UGBL. Both setups are well suited to clearing the mission quickly and can make Mission 27 one of the better options for farming MRP.

That makes Mission 27 a strong choice if you already have a good anti-ground setup and would rather spend longer inside a mission instead of repeatedly restarting a short farm. I would still use Mission 16 when I want something simple and repeatable, while Mission 27 makes more sense once your loadout can clear ground targets efficiently.

What About Mission 28?

Mission 28 gives a very large amount of MRP in a single clear, but that doesn’t automatically make it the fastest farm. You can earn roughly 240,000 MRP in a 33:30 run. That’s far more MRP than a single Mission 16 clear, but much less efficient when you compare the reward against the time spent.

Mission 28 still makes sense if you’re also working on aircraft kills or other combat-related progression. For pure MRP farming, though, Mission 16 and optimized Mission 27 runs are much more attractive.

How Ace Combat 8 MRP Rewards Work

MRP payouts aren’t completely fixed, which is why two runs of the same mission can end with different totals. Difficulty affects the reward, with Ace difficulty using a 1.5x MRP multiplier. Your final results can also include bonuses for mission rank and first-time completion.

Certain mission conditions affect the results too. This is especially important when comparing farming methods. A first-clear result can look much better than what you’ll actually earn when repeating the mission over and over.

What Is MRP Used For?

MRP, or Military Result Points, is the currency used for progression through the Ace Combat 8 Aircraft Tree. You’ll spend it on aircraft as well as special weapons and upgrade parts. The aircraft that require MRP cost roughly 8.9 million MRP in total, and that figure doesn’t include everything else you’ll need to buy while moving through the tree.

Some of the most expensive aircraft sit near the end of progression. The F-22A, F-35C and Su-57 each cost 550,000 MRP, while the FA-36 and EA-36 cost 750,000. The X-40 Nightmare costs 1,000,000 MRP on its own. That also means the price shown on the aircraft you want isn’t always the full cost of reaching it. You may need to purchase earlier aircraft or parts along the route first.

How Much MRP Do You Need?

If you’re going for everything, you’ll need much more MRP than simply buying your favorite aircraft. The Need A Bigger Bank achievement requires 16 million total MRP earned, while MRP Aplenty requires 25 million.

These track cumulative MRP earned, so spending your MRP doesn’t reset your progress. You do not need to keep 25 million MRP sitting in your balance at once.

Does Campaign MRP Carry Over to Multiplayer?

No. Ace Combat 8’s online mode uses separate save data and progression. Aircraft have to be earned again through the online progression system, so farming campaign MRP won’t directly unlock your multiplayer aircraft.

The Best Ace Combat 8 MRP Farm Wrap Up

For pure speed, I’d start with Mission 16. Once you know the three disguised ships, the mission is short enough to repeat quickly without needing a specialized build. Mission 27 becomes a very good alternative with a strong anti-ground aircraft, while Mission 28 is better suited to longer runs where you’re also working toward other combat goals. The important thing is to compare MRP per minute rather than simply looking at which mission gives the biggest number on the results screen.
