Where to Find Donkeys in Soulmask
Donkeys are cute little animals that can be found all over the map. You can spot them in multiple habitats like forests and grasslands. Keep in mind that early on, they’re especially plentiful in the southern regions like Barren Sandland and the ruins of Sunset Bay.

This island east of River Delta is also a good location to find donkeys. If you want to tame a donkey, keep an eye out for a baby donkey.

How to Capture and Tame a Donkey
To capture a donkey, you need a medium trap and bait. You can use figs and wheat for the bait and also to feed them. If you aren’t sure what bait to use, kill an adult donkey. Once killed, you can check the in-game hunting log or gallery to see exactly what kind of food the animal likes.
Locate a foal to place bait for. However, don’t forget to kill or chase away any adult donkeys or any other animals in the vicinity. That’s because the adult animals try to eat the bait but can’t fit in the cage, hence damaging it, which is something you definitely don’t want.

With the adults gone, just wait for the foal to notice the bait and run inside the trap. There, you have yourself a nice little donkey. Go ahead and pick the little donkey up in order to tame it. Place it down. Now you’ve officially tamed a baby donkey.
Donkey Food in Soulmask
So, what do donkeys eat in Soulmask? As previously mentioned, you feed your donkey figs and wheat all day, every day. Once back at your base, you can put the donkey where the trough is. If you don’t have that, just place figs or wheat in his inventory plus a water bottle so that you don’t have any problems. It takes time for him to develop into a full-grown donkey, but he’ll get there. You can even put him on free mode so he freely wanders and feeds himself through your base.

Donkeys possess great endurance and can carry more inventory weight than alpacas. Their carrying capacity is a whopping 728, which is quite amazing, to be honest. However, you can’t ride your donkey until it hits 100% maturity and becomes an adult. Once fully mature, go to Dawn of the New Tribe – Leather Gear. Scroll down until you see the saddlecraft section and craft a saddle. You can now enjoy this solid early-game mount choice.
