Soulmask Engine Guide: Get Antigravity Engines and Fly Your Ship

Soulmask Engine is the thing makes the final version something different. You’ve got a boat, you’ve explored the desert and you’re dying to take off into the sky like everyone else in the Shifting Sands.

Those things that help you do this are called antigravity engines (or Small Anti-Gravity Engine in the game). They’re what turn your regular Soulmask ship into a flying airship. Here’s the exact way to get them and fly as easy as possible.

Quick Start: You Need A Basic Ship First

Grab or build a Small Wooden Boat early on.

  • Unlock Shipbuilding Technique in the tech tree.
  • Head to a shipyard or building workbench.
  • Craft the hull, add a rudder, sails and helm. Keep it light, you don’t need a floating base yet.

This boat works on water and sand already. Now you just need the flying parts. Engine is the core then.

How to Get Your First Soulmask Engine

That first Soulmask engine is really important and somehow, hard to get. For that, you should fight first:

Beat the Sobek Crocodile boss (also called Sobec Croc). He’s in the pyramid area in the Barren Sandland region. Bring bronze gear and a few tribesmen. They help a ton. Skin the boss after you kill him to get the pyramid key.

Loot the pyramid right behind him. Open every chest inside. This is where you get the starter flying kit:

  • Marine Antigravity Skid: Goes underneath the ship.
  • Two small Wings: One on each side.
  • Small Antigravity Engine: This is your Soulmask Engine
  • At least 6 Small Power Crystals: your fuel

That’s it. Most players pull exactly these on their first clear.

Install the parts on your Small Wooden Boat:

  • Put the Marine Anti-Gravity Skid on the bottom.
  • Snap one wing on each side.
  • Place the Small Anti-Gravity Engine in the engine slot (usually near the back or bottom).
  • Load the 6 Small Power Crystals into the engine.

Fuel it and fly. Hop on the helm. The ship lifts off. Each set of 6 small crystals gives you about 10 to 12 real hours of flight time.

Where to Get More Power Crystals

The pyramid gives you a good starter stack, but you’ll need more. Go to enemy airship camps.

  • Spot the explosive red barrels next to the parked ship.
  • Blow them up (shoot or whip them quickly to overload the shield).
  • Loot the two chests inside, they’re loaded with Small Power Crystals.

You can also redo Patroller III dungeons for extra engine parts or wings if the pyramid stops dropping them on repeat runs.

Tips from A Players Who Just Did This

Obtaining and sing those engines is not that hard, nu may sound problematic for some players anyway. Here’s all the tips I know and I haven’t told you yet:

  • Don’t turn your first flying ship into a giant base. Keep it light and fast so you don’t crash everywhere.
  • Tribe level 3 + Premium Shipbuilding unlocks the Falcon class hull next. That’s when you can add a bigger Medium Anti-Gravity Engine for more speed.
  • Later in Steel Age you’ll craft advanced engines that need mineral oil, but the pyramid loot skips all that early grind.
  • Always carry spare crystals. One bad landing and you’re walking home.

Why This Feels So Good

Once you slap that Soulmask Engine on, the whole map opens up. No more slow desert trekking. You can raid, explore whenever you want. The Shifting Sands made these antigravity engines the biggest game changer since the masks themselves.

If you’re still stuck, drop your exact situation in the comments and I’ll point you to the fix. You’ve got this, go loot that crocodile and get flying today.
