All Trapper Locations in RDR2

The Trapper is a special merchant to whom you can sell your legendary animal parts and pelts, so that he can craft unique garment sets, saddles, hats, chaps, and more for you. There are five Trapper locations across the huge map of Red Dead Redemption 2.
What you will read here
Saint Denis Trapper Location
The Saint Denis Trapper location is, ironically, in the middle of the crowded city of Saint Denis. The city is in the far southeastern side of the map. As shown in the picture, you can find it on the letter S of Denis on the game map.

Access to this location of the Trapper is pretty much straightforward. However, unlike other Trapper locations, the Saint Denis trapper shop is not open 24/7. It closes at night and opens first thing in the morning since it’s located in the marketplace.

So, when it’s nightfall and you have a three-star animal pelt, before it loses its quality, you can deliver it to other Trapper locations. The closest fast travel point to this trapper is, of course, Saint Denis.
Annesburg Trapper Location
The Annesburg Trapper location, like the name suggests, is southwest of Annesburg across the Kamassa River. The closest fast travel point to he Annesburg Trapper location is Annesburg.

Pro tip: It goes without saying that the Trapper will close his shop if he feels endangered. That occurs if something like shooting happens, either gang-related or when you just out of nowhere want to empty your gun around him.

When that happens, you can see the Trapper icon becomes locked. Just save the game manually and reload the game. You might even want to grab some shut-eye before the Trapper decides to open his shop again.
Riggs Station Trapper Location
If you happen to be in the western part of the map, the Riggs Station Trapper location is the one you might wanna check out. It’s east of Strawberry and Riggs Station up on the hill.

The closest fast travel point to this location is Strawberry. Or you can simply hop on the train and get off at Riggs Station.
Big Valley Trapper Location
Northwest of Strawberry, you can find the Big Valley Trapper.

To spot him, take a look at the Owanjila lake. Follow where the Owanjila lake stream actually appears on the map. A little bit north of there, you will find the Big Valley Trapper.
Blackwater Trapper Location
The Blackwater Trapper location is southeast of Blackwater, north of Macfarlane’s Ranch, just across the Lower Montana River.

All Trapper Saddles
One of the best investments you can make in the game is upgrade your horse’s saddle. There are seven unique saddles that the Trapper can craft. Each Trapper saddle requires a specific recipe, but it offers massive reductions to your mount’s Health and Stamina Core Drain rates.

Remember that every Trapper saddle is a huge step up from standard saddles. Not to mention top-tier options like the Panther Trail and Rattlesnake Vaquero provide the absolute best statistical advantages for long journeys. If you want to know exactly which one fits your playstyle, check out our full breakdown and tier list of all seven Trapper saddles.
All Trapper Garment Sets
If you care about cosmetics and how your character (either Arthur or John) looks in the game, you can try the Trapper garment sets. As the name suggests, these are clothing sets that the Trapper can craft for you. There are 16 Trapper garment sets in RDR2.

I’ve written a dedicated article on all the Trapper garment sets, where I explain the recipe for each clothing piece as well as their prices. Feel free to check out my RDR2 Trapper outfits article.
