Horripilant Puzzles Guide: How to Solve the Toughest Puzzles?

Horripilant is one of the craziest games I’ve ever played. Anyway, I love it, maybe because I love to solve things in games. Yes, Horripilant puzzles can be difficult and often need a lot of time and patience. But don’t worry, I’m here to briefly explain how to solve the hardest puzzles in this game,

You are not even familiar with the basics of the game? Read this then:

Horripilant Guide, Everything You Want to Know

Quick Tips for Puzzles

here are some essential and fast tips for Horripilant puzzles:

  • Many puzzles require switching between the normal world and the mirror world. Check both frequently after gaining new items.
  • Some solutions need items found deeper in the dungeon. Don’t get discouraged if you’re missing something.
  • If completely stuck, visit the hidden NPC in the crack in the camp wall He can give useful hints.
  • The game often records inscriptions automatically in your journal. Always check there first.

9 Toughest Puzzles in Horripilant

Below, as you will see is a list of the most problematic puzzles in the game. Just find the one you’re stuck on and follow the quick answer.

Ghost Puzzle

This one is an early puzzle. A crazy ghost blocks progress until you deal with it right!

But how can you solve it?

  • Pull a lever near the camp to make water flow in an adjacent room.
  • Kill a familiar to create blood in that room.
  • Buy the Skull Amulet from the Equipment shop.
  • Use the amulet on the mixture of water and blood.

Grab the lever first, then slot it into the round socket thingy right next to the trader in the crack area, it’s a tiny bit deeper than “near the camp” but still super early. Everything else works exactly as written.

After that, this doomed ghost disappears and grants an inscription that you can enter into the mirror to unlock new paths.

Note: The Skull Amulet is an “instakill” item. You can also try using it directly on enemies in the dungeon for an achievement, even if it doesn’t always work.

Spider Web Obstacle

Horripilant Spider is an obstacle in the game that obviously you should pass. You must clear the web, but before that somehow you’d better get rid of the spider, right?

Click and hold to remove the webs (many people don’t know that they should hold not just click on the web!). The spider approaches while you do this. The trick is to hide your eyes. Doing this is simple, just open the map!

Thanks to a recent patch, the webs now light up when you hover over them. Super helpful if you’re frantically clicking around like I was.

Well, Water and Fire Interchange Puzzle

This part crosses between the normal world and the mirror world and involves manipulating environmental elements (I mean fire and water). With these elements you gain items.

How to solve this puzzle:

  • Toggle fire on or off in the normal world to affect the mirror world, enabling access to something we call a Coin.
  • Drop the coin into the normal world well for an inscription.
  • Use that inscription to unlock another camp area that contains tools like a Saw and Crank. You’ll need them later.

Bell and Rope Puzzle

This Horripilant puzzle is an interaction one. To complete this, first open the new room near the well after using the coin inscription.

  • Find a bell.
  • Attach the Rope.
  • Ring the bell.
  • Receive the Saw which will be of help later.

Mushroom Statue and Eye Sequence Puzzles

This one is about a room with a statue and gem sockets (some players call it the Mushroom puzzle). How did I solve it?

You should collect Horripilant round gems from the dungeon and insert them into the statue. Different gemstone inputs correspond to a sequence you must follow to unlock new features in the game. You’ll then encounter 2 Eyes puzzle which can be solved like this:

Green Eye Sequence: Top → Middle → Middle → Right → Left → Bottom

Blue Eye Sequence: Bottom → Bottom → Right → Right → Left → Top

Pro tip: the sequence on the table next to the statue is your cheat sheet. Use it while swapping between normal and mirror worlds. Once you nail the right combo you’ll feel like a genius, trust me.

Green Painting Symbols Puzzle

This one is a symbolic puzzle encountered after crossing the bridge in the Mirror Dimension. I’m here to help you solve this too.

  • Reach the green painting symbols area via the bridge.
  • Solve the symbol interaction.

Then enter the next room with four paths watched by eyes:

  • Use the Lantern (only one path is safe) The lantern reveals which path has no enemies.
  • Follow the safe route to return to the Mirror Camp and unlock progression.

Ladder and Ceiling Vines Puzzle

Horripilant ladder puzzle is another problematic one. It’s actually on the mirror dimension. When you reach it, just follow these steps:

  • Find the room with a hole in the ceiling.
  • Place the Ladder and just climb up.
  • Click and hold to remove vines. This unlocks access to later items needed for progression.

Eyes Room Puzzle

This puzzle is among the ones I like the most:

  • Enter the Room of Eyes.
  • Install a Metal Rod into the pedestal.
  • Progress elsewhere first (it won’t work yet).
  • Later obtain a second Metal Rod.
  • Install it as well.

When you activate the pedestal, you’ll receive the Torch.

Angel Statues

This is one of the final puzzles in the game and it’s actually quite easy to solve. How? Just follow these tips:

  • After the previous puzzles are cleared, you collect items such as the Torch. Give it to the left angel.
  • After that go to the main menu (Oh and before doing so save the game).
  • The angel was the left one and the answer will be shown on the right side of the main menu page (such an irony!)
  • Type this code into the mirror.

And how to unlock the final boss? Many people ask about it. Do an entire unbroken run from floor 1 to 1000.
