Castlevania Belmont’s Curse Tomb of the Noble Queen Location

The Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Tomb of the Noble Queen is located in the Mausoleum of the Queens, directly on the east side of the Overgrown Crypt Mirror of Life in the Holy Innocents’ Cemetery map. I had to return here to meet Eleanor and obtain The Sage Arcana, which unlocked the extremely helpful Mirror Walk spell for our dear Rose Belmont.
NOTE: the location of the room itself where the Tomb of the Noble Queen map marker is placed is called Mausoleum of the Queens, after going to the right of the Overgrown Crypt, the game will tell you Rose is in the Mausoleum of the Kings (only for one room), but going further right will take you to the Tomb of the Noble Queen. Check the full route I’ve drawn on the map to easily find your way there. The starting point is the Pauper’s Grave Mirror of Life.

Red: Walking – Green: Jump up & ground smash – Blue: Going through transition gates
If you’re coming here to collect the Sage Arcana card, keep in mind that Eleanor won’t give you the reward until you’ve defeated the Succubus in the Hall of Mirrors and claimed Life Drain.
Fast travel to…
Where to Find the Tomb of the Noble Queen

The tomb is actually inside a one-room-wide location called the Mausoleum of the Queens. To reach there, you can simply walk to the east of the Overgrown Crypt Mirror of Life if you already have it unlocked. If not, your best nearby fast travel point is the Pauper’s Grave Mirror of Life. From there you must go through multiple rooms and challenges to get there.
Breakable Blocks

First room will require Rose to Aerial Dash and use the neon pink hooks to go up a level. We do this to reach a second neon pink hook. Use it and then smash down to destroy the breakable blocks. If you still haven’t unlocked the Aerial Dash ability, you should solve Belmont’s Curse Library Puzzle to defeat Carmilla and get the ability afterward.
Timed Lever

Next room requires Rose to use Holy Light on the Chaos Shard walls (switch off and on with your Holy Light to climb and pass through them with the right timing) and navigate spikes on the walls to reach the west end of the room. Your Rose can also double jump to reach high up to the ceiling and hit a timed lever. The lever opens up a hatch leading to a Brave Heart Fragment. Going out of this area will lead you to the Overgrown Crypt.
Overgrown Crypt

This area doesn’t have much maneuvering besides an easy timed lever puzzle; instead you’ll be busy fighting enemies such as the Biphrons, Throw Masters, Gargoyles and a single Mud Man in an arena battle. Defeat the Mud Man immediately to end the arena battle in an instant. Then drop down and keep advancing; you’ll encounter Chaos Shard walls, pink hooks, and two Frozen Shades before reaching the Overgrown Crypt Mirror of Life.

Interact with it and keep going right until you reach another room where it says Mausoleum of the Kings again. Don’t worry, you’re not on the wrong path. Kill the two Gargoyles and the Biphron. Move to the right.
Tomb of the Noble Queen

The room where the tomb and Eleanor are is called Mausoleum of the Queens. The room itself has no obstacles or puzzles. Eleanor simply interacts with you when Rose Belmont enters the room.
How to Get to Eleanor at the Tomb of the Noble Queen

Finding Eleanor there is quite easy, as she is simply standing in the middle of the room and immediately interacts with Rose upon entering the Mausoleum of the Queens. What you should be mindful about is the fact that you can’t obtain The Sage Arcana by just reaching the tomb early. First, you need to progress through the Hall of Mirrors quest and claim the The Temptress card by defeating the Succubus. If you’ve already done it, you’re good to go, if not, check the required steps:
Complete the Four Mirror Challenges

When we meet Eleanor for the first time, she is trapped inside a four-way chained mirror in the Hall of Mirrors. To free her, you must break four seals by completing the Mirror of Life challenges scattered across the map.
The four challenges are located in:
- Paris Streets, near the cemetery side of the map
- Main Hall, through Servants’ Hall and the Dungeon
- Clock Tower, in Mechanic’s Ascent
- Notre-Dame, in the East Gallery
Once all four seals have been broken, return to the Main Hall and continue the Hall of Mirrors storyline.
Defeat the Succubus and Claim Life Drain
This is the same area where you solve Belmont’s Curse Vampire Lord Portrait Puzzle. Continue through the Hall of Mirrors until you reach the final encounter. The character who initially appears to be Sypha is actually the Succubus in disguise. She is also referred to as the Temptress.
Defeat the Succubus, then interact with the reward orb to claim The Temptress Arcana card which includes Life Drain. Once you have Life Drain, return to Holy Innocents’ Cemetery and head to the Mausoleum of the Queens.
How to Get The Sage Arcana and Mirror Walk

If you’ve done the prerequisite steps before meeting queen Eleanor here, then you receive this Arcana card upon finishing the conversation with her, right after she says “No. It wouldn’t be prudent.”
The spell description is as follows: “Places a mirror at Rose’s current location. When recast, Rose teleports to the mirror’s location and regains 5o% of the health points she lost since casting the spell. The mirror disappears after 15 seconds or when Rose teleports to it.“
What to Do If Eleanor Isn’t at the Tomb
If you reach the Tomb of the Noble Queen but can’t obtain The Sage Arcana, you probably haven’t met the prerequisites:
- Make sure you’ve completed all four Mirror of Life challenges.
- Finish the Hall of Mirrors and defeat the Succubus.
- Interact with the Succubus’s reward orb to claim Life Drain.
- Return to the Mausoleum of the Queens in Holy Innocents’ Cemetery.
- Speak with Eleanor and interact with her reward orb after the scene.
