Insomniac’s narrative director for Marvel’s Wolverine, Walt Williams, has confirmed that Sabretooth is about 9 feet tall in the game. Which is crazy, right? So, him standing next to Logan is like an NBA player standing next to a really short dude. Now, it’s about time we dug a little deeper into it.

How Tall Is Sabretooth in Marvel’s Wolverine?
Sabretooth, aka Victor Creed, is about 9 freaking feet tall in Marvel’s Wolverine, according to Insomniac narrative director Walt Williams. This behemoth of a human-like dude is considered Logan’s big bad brother. When you first see Sabretooth next to Logan, it gives you the impression that the size difference is quite a bit exaggerated, but I beg to differ.
Logan in the game is about 5’7″, according to Marcus Smith, who is the creative director of the game. Sabretooth also has a pretty important role after the main story wraps up, which I’ve covered in my Marvel’s Wolverine ending explained guide.
Why Is Sabretooth So Much Bigger Than Wolverine?
Much like the sort of bros-in-arms-style relationship Victor and Logan have, their size difference tells you the same story, really. They keep antagonizing each other left and right, but at the same time, they have each other’s backs every now and then.
After all, there’s an animalistic nature that lives and breathes in them. And just like that, their fighting styles are really different. Sabretooth, just like the big, brutal animal he is, reacts like a giant wrecking ball. Well, I wouldn’t blame him.
The dude is about nine feet and God knows how much he weighs, so it’s only natural that he acts the way he does. On the other hand, Logan is about 5’7″, which is much shorter than Victor, so he resorts to doing some thinking, actually.
Sabretooth vs. Wolverine Height Comparison
Well, the difference is huge. As I mentioned earlier, Logan is about 5’7″ and Victor is about 9 feet, which puts roughly 3 feet 5 inches between the two characters. Speaking for myself here, when I first saw the duo, I was like, hmm, Logan looks about 5’8″-5’10”-ish and damn, Sabretooth looks like 6’6″-ish. Now that I know the answer here, it just shows how difficult it is to judge visually.
An interesting fact here is that Logan’s actual comic height is about 5’3″. So, Insomniac made Logan slightly taller, but that doesn’t hide the fact that Sabretooth is like a ladder with a lot of muscles.
Is Sabretooth 9 Feet Tall in the Comics?
Hell no, nowhere near the nine-foot Sabretooth we see in Insomniac’s Marvel’s Wolverine. So, an official Marvel character profile for Victor Creed lists Sabretooth at 6’6″ and 275 pounds, which is a night-and-day difference from Sabretooth you see in the game. He’s still 2 feet 6 inches taller than Marvel’s listed comic character height.
So, at the end of the day, it’s better to see him as a 6’6″ dude, which is how tall Marvel officially lists him. Of course, he doesn’t appear the same size in every portrayal in media, but then again, what we can say for sure is that Insomniac has made its version of Victor significantly larger than the height Marvel officially gives the character.
