Halloween The Game Arrest Michael: How to Cuff Him!

In every Halloween movie, Michael Myers walks away. In Halloween: The Game from IllFonic and Gun Interactive, you can actually change that ending. Michael can be cuffed instead of vanishing into the dark. It takes coordination and a specific sequence of steps.

Halloween The Game Arrest Michael: Quick Guide

  1. Call police or Dr. Loomis
  2. Surround Michael with Loomis or a cop until the cuff bar appears
  3. Deal damage to Michael
  4. When he is down, get the police officer to arrest him

How to Arrest Michael in Halloween: The Game

Follow these steps if you want to arrest Michael fast:

Step 1: Raise the Cop Level

Nothing else in this guide works without police attention on the map, so this is where every arrest attempt has to start. There are two ways to build it up:

  • Talk to residents. NPC townsfolk have a “call for help” option during conversations. Choosing it triggers a short quick-time prompt.
  • Use a safe phone. Civilians can call the police directly from landlines around Haddonfield, which triggers its own timing-based prompt.

In both cases, how well you hit the prompts appears to matter. Cleaner inputs on the quick-time events translate to more police units actually showing up.

Treat every one of these prompts as worth doing properly rather than mashing through it, since a half-hearted attempt may bring fewer cops than the map can otherwise support.

Step 2: Arm Yourself

Weapons are scattered around every map’s points of interest alongside the usual loot.

Pick up whatever you can find. Since Michael can’t be killed, the real value of a weapon is the stun it produces. Knocking him back or interrupting an attack buys your team time, which matters a lot once you’re trying to pin him down for an arrest later on.

Step 3: Get Dr. Loomis or a Police Officer Into the Match

This is the step that trips most groups up, because it requires a human-controlled officer-type character to actually be present. That character doesn’t start the match on the map. There are two routes to get one in:

Option A: Spectator Mode and the Radio

A Civilian first needs to leave the active player pool. Currently, that happens by dying to Michael, which drops them into spectator mode. From there, that player can use the CB radio to call in Dr. Loomis, who then enters the match as a controllable character. It’s the same basic idea as calling in Tommy Jarvis over the radio in Friday the 13th: The Game, IllFonic’s earlier asymmetrical title, though the two systems aren’t identical beat for beat.

Loomis counts as a police-equivalent character for the arrest system, so getting him in is just as good as getting a cop.

Option B: Police Reinforcement

If nobody is available to answer the radio call, a downed player can instead attempt a rhythm-based minigame for a chance at a Police Reinforcement card.

Landing it lets you return to the match as a basic police officer instead of Loomis. Treat the radio-and-Loomis route as the more reliable of the two when it’s available.

Step 4: Corner Michael and Fill the Arrest Meter

With police attention active and a Loomis or officer on the field, the actual arrest can begin. Surround Michael with your police-equivalent character (or characters, if you’re lucky enough to have more than one) and keep him boxed in.

A cuff-icon meter appears on him while he’s held in this state, and it needs to fill before you can move to the finish. Stunning him with weapons and shining a flashlight in his direction both help keep him locked down long enough for the meter to climb. It is a useful strategy since a good Michael player will try to break line of sight or bull through the group the moment he gets an opening.

Poise matters here too: characters with a higher Poise stat knock Michael down faster and more reliably, and perks that extend how long he stays down give your team extra seconds to land the cuffing prompt. If you’re picking who plays the arrest-focused Civilian, prioritize Poise over stealth or speed.

Step 5: Finish the Arrest

Once the meter is full, the last two actions have to happen in sequence:

  • Stun Michael and knock him to the ground, any damage that drops him works.
  • Have a player approach and hold the interaction prompt to make the arrest, which triggers a short final quick-time event.

Complete the sequence and the match ends with Michael detained rather than another body count in Haddonfield.

Tips for Landing the Arrest

  • Don’t attempt this with an uncoordinated group of strangers: Every step depends on someone being in the right place at the right time, so it’s realistically a strategy for a full team on voice chat.
  • Save at least one stun for the endgame: It’s easy to burn through weapons early just surviving. Keep something in reserve for the moment you’re actually trying to close out the meter.
  • Confirm your cop level before committing to the plan: If nobody’s called the police yet, chasing an arrest is a waste of time. Fall back on an escape route instead.
  • Know what happens if he breaks free: If Michael escapes the circle before the cuff bar fills, the meter doesn’t carry over. You’ll need to corner him again from zero. Treat every slip-away as a fresh attempt, not a setback you can pick up where you left off.
