The Best Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Money Glitch (And How to Pull It Off)

I threw my back out (literally!) researching the best AC Black Flag Resynced money glitch. This guide covers what actually qualifies: spots you can loot over and over with fast travel and a boarding trick that sinks Man o’ Wars without firing a single cannon. I also talked about a secret cave that gives you 6000 Reales at once and a long-term investment for passive income at the end. Keep reading to be rich fast.
What You’ll Read:
The Fast Travel Loot Reset Glitch
This is the closest thing to a genuine money glitch in the game. Certain loot pickups reset after you’ve already grabbed them. So that’s not a bug you want to fix. Here’s how it works:
Head to Pinos Isle at coordinates 303, 455. It’s best to fast travel to its synchronized viewpoint. Take a leap of faith, then hug the wall to your right. A bit further along, you’ll find money on a dead soldier and a table after that. Fast travel somewhere else. Quickly fast travel straight back. Repeat all of this.

The loot is worth 130 Reales combined. Honestly, I don’t think it’s worth it unless you are in the early game because it’s easy and fast money. So overall, it ain’t much, but it’s honest work (or glitch, I guess).
Note: Black jaguars also spawn on this island and sell for decent money, but they take 10 to 15 minutes to respawn, so they’re not worth looping for.
A better spot is the naval fort at Punta Guarico, coordinates 747, 379 (you’ll pass through it in the main story anyway). Head up to the right side of the topmost garden and loot the tables there for 267 Reales. The same reset trick as before applies. An hour straight of this would probably give 12,000 coins. Not glamorous, but it’s real money for almost zero risk.
| Location | Coordinates | Reales per loop |
|---|---|---|
| Pinos Isle | 303, 455 | 130 |
| Punta Guarico | 747, 379 | 267 |
The Unarmed Boarding Ships Exploit
This one works on anything, including level five Man of Wars, and you can pull it off in the first hour of the game with a totally unupgraded Jackdaw.
Get ahead of your target and get near its path. Don’t collide with it and do not engage in a fight, preferably. Then, release the wheel and jump overboard and onto the ship. Or swim to the ship and climb aboard. This skips naval combat entirely and starts a boarding fight directly.

Now kill the enemies on the deck. Watch the morale meter, not the enemy count. If it’s still ticking after you think everyone’s dead, there’s almost always one straggler up in the rigging near the mast. Some bigger ships may be hard to clear with lots of crew and multiple captains. So I suggest upgrading your gear before going for a big ship like a Man o’ War.
Once morale hits zero, you will have the option to scuttle the ship. Do it and quickly jump overboard. Swim back to the Jackdaw, and the enemy ship explodes on the spot. You get metal, wood, cloth, tobacco, spice, and gold, sometimes over 1,000 Reales, depending on the ship.

Bonus: if multiple ships gang up on you, boarding one of them takes it out of the fight entirely, buying your Jackdaw time to survive the encounter.
Quick Money Cove Raid (Worth 6K!)
Before doing any farming, you should raid this secret cove worth 6000 Reales! You can go there at any point in the game, by the way. Head to Ambergris Key, coordinates 27, 158, on the west side of the map. Once you are there, dive down through this cave and make sure you stay away from the jellyfish.

At the other end of the cave, you will find yourself in some ruins. This place has some guards, but it’s nothing that you can’t handle. Loot the key from one of them and open the chest they were guarding. That will reward you with 5017 Reales and a map piece, which leads you to even more treasure.

But that’s not all of it! There are lots of other loot and maps in this place. So make sure you check out every nook and cranny before leaving this place. If I had to recommend just one place to check on the map, I would say this one. So do NOT miss it. You’ll thank me later.
Money Trinkets You Should Get
The Folded Palm trinket pays 50 to 60 Reales for every takedown (when you parry) you land, and it’s easy to miss. Head to the docks in Havana, near the synchronization viewpoint, to the marker around coordinates 225, 589. A guard there talks about a “shiny keepsake.” Assassinate or pickpocket him; either works, and the trinket is yours.

Pair it with the Black Pearl trinket from the treasure dealer and a sword that caps takedowns at four. That lets you chain five kills in one combo for a minimum of 250 Reales per chain, more if you’re doing this against a group.
Later on, collecting around 15 to 16 artworks unlocks the Found Coin trinket at your manor, which increases the Reales you find. Combine it with the Lodestone trinket from the upgraded general store, and boarding ships starts auto-collecting loot and gadgets without manual looting.

Great Inagua Passive Income Setup
Progress the story to sequence four and complete “The Old Cove” mission, roughly four to five hours in. This unlocks your manor at Great Inagua along with the protection money box, which generates the passive income everyone dreams about.
Investing in the town itself increases how fast that passive income grows. The upgrades aren’t cheap, but they pay for themselves since they feed directly into what the protection box collects. Once this is running, you’re not stuck grinding for cash between story missions or upgrade hunts.

FAQ
Does the checkers game in Havana actually make money?
Yes. Winning a match at the Havana checkers table pays 900 gold. Reload if you lose, since it shouldn’t count against you, and look up a checkers solver online if you want guaranteed wins.
Do I need a fully upgraded Jackdaw for the boarding glitch?
No. It works with a completely stock ship from the first hour of the game, even against level five Man of Wars.
Which method makes the most money per hour?
The Punta Guarico loot loop is the most consistent at roughly 12,000 coins an hour. The boarding glitch can outpace that against high-value ships, but payouts vary by target.
Is boarding a Man o’ War risky with a weak ship?
Not really. Once you’re on the enemy deck, your Jackdaw isn’t taking cannon fire, so a weak hull doesn’t matter until you’re back on board.
