Moonlight Peaks Stamina Guide: How to Get More Energy

Stamina is the one thing that a lot of Moonlight Peaks players complain about. The energy bar just drains too fast, so I’m here to guide you through how it works and the best ways to refill it. Let’s begin.

How the Stamina Bar Works in Moonlight Peaks

Your stamina sits in the top-left corner of the screen. The rule is simple, just like how it works in real life: your stamina drops when you perform actions. So when you dig, mine, chop wood, or even clear land for planting, and, to your surprise, when you shake trees, plus when you cast out the reel and miss the fish, and… (I can continue this all day), the stamina drops super-duper fast.

Once it hits zero, you’ll see a message that pops up on your character saying, “I’m too tired…” but don’t get annoyed just yet.

The good news is that when you perform basic chores, like when you’re harvesting or watering crops, you don’t have to worry about it at all because it drains no stamina. The bar refills overnight when you hit the hay (in this case, coffin! Who does that? A vampire), and it also tops back up whenever you eat.

One of the biggest frustrations I have faced is when I swing my net or cast my rod. It costs stamina even on a miss, which hurts. The reason is that bugs and soul blobs are already not easy to catch.

I haven’t found any passive way to recover energy during the day yet. My top complaint is that the net and fishing rod burn stamina even on a miss, and honestly, it’s neither logical nor practical.

Best Foods and Drinks for Fast Stamina Recovery

Since you’re playing a vampire (always reminds me of the movie Let Me In for some reason), of course, the blood ingredients give the biggest boost.

Blood tomatoes and blood oranges, as well as blood grapes, restore far more energy than regular crops. Gazpacho Soup, that’s made from tomatoes and onion, gives around 40 to 60 energy and uses seeds that are easy to dig up early on, which is a plus.

Farmer’s Stew, made with tomato and eggplant, adds about 25. You can also catch a violet fish and turn it into Violet Sashimi, that’s another cheap, quick option.

If you want a full refill, though, head to the bar and buy Blood Orange Juice from Samael for 350 gold. It restores over an insane 110 energy in one go. Moon fruit juice from Luna is strong too, though moon fruit also sells for good gold, so it’s a trade-off. The Cooking for Vampires recipe book adds several high-value stamina meals. You can buy it from Mina for 2,500 gold.

Top Tips to Reduce Stamina Drain in Moonlight Peaks

Once your wand is unlocked, there are some spells from Sabrina’s Web of Wonders shop that reduce the cost of mining and chopping. For example, you can get the Ethereal Axes I spell, which summons an axe that can chop up to 16 logs or trees.

Festival potions temporarily let you chop or mine for free. Tool upgrades from Ridge’s Howling Hammer carpentry shop cut stamina use over time, though they cost gold and crafting materials, so watch out. That said, when your bar runs low, switch to free activities like foraging.

There’s not just that. You can gift villagers and, when the time comes, play the Nocturna card game with Dragan.

Jason’s journey of countless memorable video game stories began when he was only 8 years old. Most of the time, he would play Mortal Kombat 4 on his PC after school. When night fell, it was time for the original Resident Evil 3 to scare the living daylights out of him. But he wouldn’t trade those good old days for anything. Jason is a minimalist at heart and that translates into his guide writing as well. He likes to break down gameplay mechanics into simpler parts so that the audience can find what they’re looking for in no time.
