If you find yourself stuck in TacSim in 007 First Light, simply exit to the main menu and reload the story mode. There’s no direct exit door or button within the mode itself.
Many players have encountered this issue, especially since the transition into TacSim from Q-Branch during the story mode is seamless. Selina offers you to try it, and once you get inside, the game doesn’t provide clear instructions on how to return to the campaign.

Anyway, because TacSim works as a separate mode, any progress made within it, like shooting range leaderboard rankings or conversations with Dr. Tan, may not be saved when you exit to the main menu if you haven’t completed the tasks. There’s a known a bug where, when you reload into story mode and speak to the character who introduces TacSim, it shows all missions as completed.
The developers, IO Interactive, are aware of this issue, with their official representative note that they have forwarded the feedback to the team for a potential fix in a future update. For now, the only workaround is go back to the main menu and reload the campaign from there.
