Waterpark Simulator AI Art Claims: What’s Actually Going On?

You’ve probably seen the posts. Reddit threads, Steam discussions, people pointing at hands, shoes, eyes, and anything that doesn’t seem to go anywhere. They say some arts are like AI works.
What’s the accusation? I didn’t find much suspicious art or AI-like mechanics. Devs deny any use of AI too. So what’s the truth and why community discuss AI usage? Let’s dive in.
You’ll Read:
Why People Are Suspicious
The discussions started about a year ago. A poster of the game became public, and people started talking about the obvious signs of AI in the art.
But the studio has been consistent. The Steam page states that no AI was used in the game, assets, marketing images, videos, or development. The trailer description says the same. The developers pointed to the artist in the credits and even shared a layered PSD of the capsule. Below is the actual words of them:

Still the Questions Linger
The older placeholder artwork made people suspicious of everything. Just a few hours after the full version was released (31st July 2026), everyone started looking for any kind of AI footprint.
This made me do a deeper search into the game and its arts. I played the game myself, and honestly the gameplay was smooth and just as good as I expected. I can’t say I’ve seen any signs of AI in the gameplay or NPCs (I’m not an expert in game development anyway).
The main problem could be about artworks, I did find only one suspicious sign. I can’t say this is a proof of AI, but I can’t ignore it either. As I said, the final judgment is up to you.
Arts I Found Weird
Here is the suspicious artworks I could find related to the game:
The first one is related to the official game cover on Steam. Look at the fingers of the girl, they are four:

This is the other old poster, the one that made the main arguments. People say that the face, eyes and everything about the character is AI like. I’ve pointed the other weird part I’ve seen:

So Where Does That Leave Us?
Suspicion is understandable, especially around the posters. Hard proof that the final game or official marketing relied on generative AI is not currently on the table.
I honestly don’t care much about it. If they’ve really used AI, it’s probably limited to the posters and some arts. The gameplay feels human-made and smooth enough to play for hours. I’ve seen no annoying bugs, gameplay glitches or anything like that. The game has done well (I love things like water gun and spread love mechanics). Its developers are worth appreciating.
Anyway, I felt I should share the evidence I’ve found and I’ll add anything new I see. Finally what are your thoughts? That’s what matters!

lol good jornalism lol . You used pics from knock off games as an example. Makes me wonder if this article was done by AI
It’s not about games, the article is about one specific game called Waterpark simulator. I don’t understand what you mean anyway. These pics are related to Waterpark Simulator and are the ones that community discuss about.
The one with the blue-top guy is one of the knock-off games. Not waterpark simulator…..
It is called waterpark simulator 2025
I found this poster while people referred to it as related to the 2026 version. Anyway it is possible that you’re right about it because there are many versions within the same name. I’ll remove the pic because I couldn’t make sure about its connection to the version I’ve written about.
