Supermarket Chaos Item Guide: Organize 4,668 Items Faster

I finally caved and bought Supermarket Chaos. It’s this new indie game where you clean up a supermarket. The core system is simple, but managing 4668 items may become a real CHAOS.
The game is made to reduce stress, so take it easy and follow my tips to learn how to organize those items faster.

16 Sections Guide
The scale of this game is honestly the first thing that hit me. Your job is to sort 4,668 products. That number alone sounds wild, but it’s spread across 16 distinct sections. I’ve listed the core items for each section, so managing them will be more simple (it was a really demanding work to sort them all like this, thank me):
| Section | Key Items |
| Frozen Foods | Big Tony pizza, Volcano pizza, Crusty pizza, Pizza Deniro, Beef & cheddar frozen pizza, Tomato basil veggie pizza, Royal frozen pizza, Tomato basil quattro, Royal Frozen 400g beef & cheddar, ice cream, crispy potato balls |
| Fruits & Vegetables | Clementine, tomato, garlic, red apple, green apple, grapefruit, lemon, onion, banana, avocado, kiwi, papaya, pineapple, carrot, artichoke, pears, white mushroom, yellow squash |

The First Few Hours of the Game
The key is to take it slow. The game explicitly tells you there are no time limits or game-overs, and it really means it. The whole point is to relax and enjoy the process of turning chaos into order.

The first thing I did was just start picking up items I knew the section for. It’s satisfying to see empty shelves slowly fill up with products in neat rows. The visual change is a huge part of the reward.
Upgrading Skills in Supermarket Chaos
After some time, a little money will be in your pocket and you can use it to upgrade your skills. This is where the game really starts to flow. The upgrades are all about making you more efficient and faster.

Here’s what I’ve found you can upgrade:
| Possible Skill Upgrade | What Happens |
| Extra Carry | Carry more products at once |
| Shelf Finder | Find shelf locations more easily |
| Movement Speed | Move faster around the store |
| Match Finder | Highlights matching products and auto-picks them up |
But how to prioritize these upgrades? I say that carrying capacity is the most important one. Get Match Finder and Shelf Finder next.
A Few Tips for Organizing Items
The game is all about those items and the way to manage them. The first tip I want to tell is that you don’t have to work section by section. It’s hard to find all items from one section in that chaos. So just collect what saves time and effort.
With Match Finder, you can find similar items of what you have in your hands easily and quickly. Use this skill and don’t play so randomly.
Another pro tip that many players miss is the opportunity that the ATMs provide. One of them (the blue one on the right), requires spending 40 stars to get 95% chance of permanent relic buff. How does it help:
- After you use a skill, there’s a 25% chance its cooldown resets immediately.
- When you gain gold, there’s a 5% chance the reward becomes 2x.
- All active skill cooldowns are reduced by 20%/30%.

You also have two other options with the other ATMs. The middle one wants 20 stars and has 51% success chance. The left one requires 4 stars but only has a 10% success chance. choose one of them as you wish (anyway I recommend the blue one).
Don’t miss these ATMs. If you’ve played a game like Librarian Tidy Up the Arcane Library, you probably know that skills are so important if you want a more relaxed playtime.
Manage the Chaos
Now you know each item relates to what section. Yes, there may be more items that I haven’t listed here, but anyone can guess that for example where potatoes belong to. Also, I mention that again: the skills are so important if you want a smoother and more relaxing experience in the game. Extra Carry and Match Finder are so helpful.
At the end, I just say relax, don’t hurry and enjoy the process.
FAQs
How to handle items that seem to fit in multiple sections?
Rely on shelf feedback first. The game gives visual or audio cues when you’re near the right shelf. If it doesn’t fit, try the most logical family section.
Best Order to Tackle the Store?
Start with visually obvious sections. Clear “clean” families first with obvious produce. Leave high confusion sections for later when you have better upgrades.
How long does it take to complete the game?
Most players take 15–30 hours for a full relaxed completion.
What are the hardest sections?
I’d say Frozen Foods, Drinks, Bento/Sushi, and Ramen are the most confusing sections.
