Replaced Game Password | Slave Cages Puzzle Guide

The slave cages puzzle in Replaced is a classic example of the game expecting you to slow down and really observe your surroundings. At first, you may notice the chalk symbols on the nearby column and enter them in what seems like the correct order. However, this will only result in an Error message.

The trick is hidden in the terminal message itself. It hints that the solution is not as straightforward as it looks. In fact, you will need to take a closer look and rethink the order.

In this guide, we provide the exact Replaced game password for slave cage puzzle so you can solve it in record time.

Quick Guide

  • Replaced password sequence is: Chains (C) / Knife (A) / Eye (D) / Cross (B)

General Information About the Slave Cages Puzzle

In the third chapter of Replaced, a slave NPC asks you to open all the nearby cages at once. To do this, you will need to access a locked control panel that requires a password. The terminal gives you a clue from the Termites leader, Bonecrusher, stating that the answer is “to the right of the device.”

To the right, you will find a stone column with four chalk symbols: a knife, a cross, a chain and an eye, arranged from top to bottom.

How to Decrypt the Codes in Replaced?

The real clue is hidden in what looks like a mistake in Bonecrusher message: “CADB.”

Each symbol on the stone column maps to a letter. The large “B” carved next to the cross acts as your reference point. This helps you assign the correct letters to each symbol. From there, you can follow the sequence given in the clue to determine the correct input order: A is the Knife, B is the Cross, C is the Chains and D the is Eye.

What is the Replaced Game Password?

Enter the symbols in this exact order on the terminal:

  • Chains (C)
  • Knife (A)
  • Eye (D)
  • Cross (B)

Once entered correctly, the system will confirm the cages are opening and display a polite “good day” message. After that, exit the terminal and head right to report back to the slave leader.
