Halo Campaign Evolved LASO Glitch: How to Get MYTHIC Without the Suffering

Halo: Campaign Evolved lets you set custom difficulty modifiers and the game tells you those modifiers block achievements. They don’t block LASO progress the way they’re supposed to.
Crank a preset to its maximum values, run the LASO playlist with it active and your completion still tracks. If the counter stalls, you fix it by loading The Pillar of Autumn on the LASO playlist with modifiers off and grabbing the skull (Speed Limit) in the first room.
The result is MYTHIC, the hardest achievement in the game, earned while you’re taking almost no damage and never reloading.

Halo Campaign Evolved LASO Glitch: Why This Works at All
LASO here isn’t the community honor system it used to be. It’s a real mode: Legendary plus 17 specific skulls, unlocked only after you find all 17 and it hands out a MYTHIC achievement worth 50 Gamerscore on Xbox, a Steam achievement or a Gold trophy on PS5. Separately, the game has four Difficulty Modifier Presets under Settings, each with five adjustable traits. Halo Support is blunt about the trade-off.
Using modifiers stops those rewards from unlocking. In co-op, everyone in the Fireteam has to have presets set to None.

That’s the intended behavior. What actually happens is that mission completion still gets written to your LASO progress with a preset running. The achievement check and the progress tracker apparently aren’t looking at the same thing.
Before You Start
You need the 17 LASO skulls. There’s no way around this one, because Play LASO doesn’t appear in the menu until you’ve collected them and the glitch starts from inside that mode. That’s 17 of the 39 hidden skulls in the game, three per mission across all 13 missions. Grab them on Easy while you’re doing your story run.

The Steps to Halo: Campaign Evolved LASO Glitch
Run the game and click on the campaign section.

Click on the New Game Button.

You will see the Difficulty Modifiers section, click it.

Pick a preset slot and edit it with these values: Damage Resistance 2000% / Shield Recharge Rate 200% / Damage Modifier 300% / Melee Damage Modifier 300% / Ammo: Bottomless Clip

Now get back and choose Play LASO section.

Start the first mission (The Pillar of Autumn). Clear the mission with the preset active and exit to the main menu. Turn the preset back to None.

Load The Pillar of Autumn from the LASO playlist and pick up the skull in the first room. Wait for the checkpoint to land, then quit out.

Check your achievement progress. If it moved, turn the preset back on and go do the next mission.

Repeat until you’ve done all 13. The ten main missions get you to roughly 76%. The three bonus missions sit in their own menu and take you the rest of the way to 100%.
Does LASO Achievement Actually Count?
The achievement pops. Whether it counts is between you and your conscience.
Worth saying plainly: MYTHIC done legitimately is one of the hardest things in modern Halo. Iron restarts the entire level when you die solo. Black Eye means your shields only come back when you melee something. Eye Patch strips auto-aim, Famine halves the ammo in every dropped weapon, Fog kills your motion tracker. Stack all 17 on Legendary and a bad grenade forty minutes into The Library sends you back to the start.

Doing that for real is a genuine achievement. Doing it with 2000% damage resistance is a trophy screenshot. Both are valid uses of your evening, but they aren’t the same thing.
When Does Halo: Campaign Evolved LASO Glitch Get Patched?
Nobody outside Halo Studios knows, and anyone giving you a date is guessing.
The reasoning for moving fast: this is an exploit against an explicit design rule the studio wrote a support article about, so it’s an obvious fix. The game hits full release on 28 July, which is exactly when a day-one patch would land.
