Crimson Captain Agamemnon is a Level 10 Unique Dungeon boss who belongs to the Crimson faction. You cross paths with him in the Looming Shadows side quest. Farever Agamemnon Location: How to Start the Looming Shadows Quest
To start the Looming Shadows quest in Farever, travel to the Florin Hill zone in Enripit. It’s located east of the Crimson Stronghold of Menelas. Talk to Shirley Templar. He gives you the task to get rid of Agamemnon.
That’s what he says:
He attacks anyone who crosses his path and makes no distinction between you and us. If you get rid of Agamemnon, I will reward you generously.
So, where is Agamemnon? Travel to north-northwest of the Crimson Stronghold of Menelas, south of Yesterland to face him.
How to Get Rid of Agamemnon in Farever
According to game lore, he would be just a regular captain if it weren’t for his deep, passionate interest in Primeval Age pottery. Agamemnon has the exact same HP multiplier (1x) as a regular Crimson. In Farever, boss fights often act as strict DPS (damage per second) checks. Agamemnon’s attacks use these three main skills:
- Double Strike: A physical attack with a 3-second cooldown and a 2.8-second cast time, which deals 50% FoePower.
- Whirlwind: A spinning physical move with a 10-second cooldown and a 5-second cast time, which also deals 50% FoePower.
- Fanatical Fury: A special buff.
Your strategy is simple. Right off the bat, quickly take care of the Crimson soldiers and archers. There shouldn’t be more than ten of them.

Then you’re all alone with Agamemnon. Attack and keep your distance. One thing you should know is not to face him if you’re underleveled. Always fight a boss who is at or below your level. This would make your life much easier.
Agamemnon Loot
Once you’ve finally defeated Agamemnon, it’s time to loot. He has a 100% drop rate for Humanoid loot and a 5% chance to drop Dungeon Spawn world loot. Specific faction drops include Wheat (20%), Pumpkins (20%), Ramburg Bleu (20%), Fresh Blood (15%), Ramgold (10%), and a 1% chance for a World Recipe with Job.
If you’re incredibly lucky, you might even get the ultra-rare Fountrailian Hound (0.1% drop rate).
Looming Shadows Rewards
Now return to Shirley Templar and tell him that it’s done. He answers with:
May his soul be swept away by the rivers of fire in Niflhel! … Am I overdoing it?
After which, you get notified that you helped Shirley Templar and get +600 XP and 75x Ramgold.
