Can Miis Hate Each Other in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream?

If you’re like me and you’re tired of Miis being so nice to each other in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, it’s about time we stirred up some drama. So, can Miis dislike each other? The short answer to this question is yes. Miis can develop negative relationships and go towards disliking each other.

Can Miis be enemies? Well, to make them each other’s public enemy number one is kind of out of your hands. The game heavily favors positive or neutral interactions. Let’s see how and why Miis can dislike each other.

How to Make Miis Hate Each Other in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream

You can’t force Miis to loathe each other right off the bat, that’s for sure. The reason being that characters first should become friends and soulmates to be able to fight and hate each other. Tensions naturally build up when you attempt to introduce Miis to start a little friendship. Rest assured, it doesn’t always automatically go well. This interaction can fail and leave things awkward or even tense.

Like previously mentioned, we now know that they need to be friends before they can fight and dislike each other. Once Miis are friends with each other, they can have arguments where they even throw things at one another. This gradually makes their relationship status drop from like-minded to not getting along or not good.

The funny thing is, Miis can get annoyed by the physical behavior of others. For instance, if two Miis are having a conversation and a third Mii repeatedly walks between them, that’ll drive the two Miis crazy.

If two Miis get into a bad argument, you have the option to have them talk it out if you don’t want a breakup. If you wanna know what happens and if Miis can break up, make sure to check out our Can Miis Break Up in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream? article as well.

At the end of the day, I’ve been thinking about the reason why the game heavily favors positive or neutral interactions. Maybe other mechanics like making enemies and whatnot are reserved for the full 1.0 version of the game, which will be released April 16, 2026, exclusively on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

He likes to break down gameplay mechanics into simpler parts so that the audience can find what they’re looking for in no time.
