For example, if a Mii’s partner hangs out with their best friend, it can trigger jealousy and a big fight. That’s when things get crazy and you see the Miis start throwing stuff at each other.
After the fight, they can apologize and talk it out, but sometimes they don’t accept apologies from one another. If these fights remain unresolved, eventually one of the Miis asks to break up.
Another reason why Miis break up is a love triangle. Yeah, stuff like that happens all the time in real life. We all know that. A single Mii can confess their feelings to a Mii who is dating someone else. What happens most of the time is that the Mii who is dating points out that they’re taken and blows the other Mii off.
However, if the taken Mii has a very low relationship level with their current partner, they might actually break up with them and get into a relationship with the other Mii. Keep in mind, though, this only works for dating Miis. Once two Miis get married, anyone else with a crush on them loses their crush. Not to mention, other Miis can no longer confess their feelings.
Remember that a natural breakup will leave the rejected Mii incredibly sad. There’s a trick to quickly pull them out of their depression: send them on a trip to smooth things over.
How to Make Miis Break Up in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream
If you’re tired of a couple and want to make Miis break up to start new drama, you have a few sneaky tricks up your sleeve. You can actually force a breakup.
Go into the editor and briefly toggle the couple’s relationship status to Sibling. The game will automatically overwrite their romantic bond. Exit to the world, then go back and remove the sibling link. They will instantly revert to being just friends.
There’s one other way. Open a Mii’s settings and temporarily remove their partner’s gender from their dating preferences. This will also instantly drop their relationship back down to friends.
