Does Windrose Copper Respawn ? Time & Locations

Copper Ore is the primary metal resource you will encounter in Windrose. It serves as the essential foundation for early-game progression. Once smelted into Copper Ingots, it allows players to unlock foundational tools, weapons and advanced crafting stations.
A common question among the community is: Does Windrose copper respawn? Currently, there is no definitive consensus, as some players claim that mineral nodes are finite and do not reappear.
However, during my playthrough, I observed copper nodes reappearing in certain caves. Based on my experience, yes, copper does respawn in Windrose, though the exact timing remains unconfirmed by official sources.

Windrose copper respawn: A Mystery
Copper is a vital resource in Windrose. Since it does not reappear as quickly as animals or plants, learning the respawn mechanics is essential for progression.

The Respawn Cycle
Unfortunately, Copper respawn timing is unconfirmed and appears to vary by player report:
- The 3 to 5 Day Rule: Community testing suggests that Copper nodes (especially those in caves/mines) operate on a 3 to 5 day in-game cycle. The game’s wiki claims that the copper respawn in 3 three days.
- The “Next Day” Theory: Some players have reported nodes returning after 24 real-world hours regardless of in-game days. If your mine is empty, try to check back after a full real-life day has passed. It is just a speculation!
- Server Restarts: On multiplayer servers, a manual restart may occasionally trigger a refresh of world node. I should note that this is not a guaranteed shortcut.

In my experience, copper reliably respawns in caves after several days. However, I have noticed many occasions where this cycle fails to trigger.
Pro-tip: The most common reason players think their Copper is glitched is the Bonfire Radius. Placing a bonfire creates a “safe zone” that prevents enemies and resources from spawning within its radius.
The Fix: Ensure your base and its bonfires are placed a significant distance away from cave entrances or rocky outcroppings where Copper is found. If you have already placed a bonfire near a mine, you must deconstruct it to allow the Copper cycle to resume.
Where to Find Copper?
You can find Copper in starting island and other areas of Coastal Islands. Copper deposits appear as bluish-white stone embedded in cave walls. You can usually find them on islands marked with cave icons on the map. The starting island’s central cave being the first place most players will encounter this resource.
