Probably Stolen Georgio Guide: Spaceship Loan, Scavenger’s Token & Liquid Luck

Georgio might come off as a silly little trader guy, but he can prove to be way more useful than you think, if you give him the chance. He sells discounted supplies, offers protection at the Dumping Ground, and eventually asks you to help fund a spaceship. Believe it or not, that last request turns out to be one of his most profitable deals.
Georgio offers you three nights of injury-free scavenging for 50 Credits. He also gives you Liquid Luck; it increases your luck by 75 points with each use. His best offer is some time between Days 25–40, when he asks you to fund his spaceship. You can lend him 25% or 50% of your Credits, receive a Scavenger’s Token that attracts scavenger customers, and get FOUR TIMES your investment back, returning approximately 8–10 days after departing. Lending him money is generally worth it, as long as you keep enough Credits for rent and other expenses.

Who Is Probably Stolen Georgio?

Only the greatest scavenger ever, duh!
But for real, Georgio, sometimes called Georgie or Giorgio, is one of the recurring characters in Probably Stolen. He’s a scavenger from the Lower Levels who proudly calls himself “the greatest scavenger around.” He’s friendly, talkative, and has a habit of referring to himself in the third person.
You’d love his sales pitches, but not his merchandise. He’ll describe ordinary Scrap Metal as ancient alien relics or try to sell you supposedly genuine cigarettes that turn out to be fakes. If you inspect his fake cigarettes with a Magnifying Glass, you can identify problems such as damaged seals or incorrect branding. Georgio accepts your appraisal and offers to lower his price instead of becoming hostile. However, Georgio isn’t just a joke character. As his storyline progresses, he provides useful supplies, helps you scavenge without getting injured, and introduces a spaceship investment that can return four times the money you lend him.
All Georgio Visits and Events

Georgio has ten scheduled storyline encounters, beginning on Day 6 and ending with his spaceship loan request around Days 25–35. Some additional encounters depend on your actions or other characters’ storylines. I’ll provide you with the complete schedule for ease of access:
| Day | Encounter | Items, Rewards, or Choices |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | Ancient alien relics | Offers 4 Scrap Metal disguised as alien relics, with a 15% bulk discount |
| 9 | 100% Pure Dehydrated Water | Offers 4 Bottles of Water (Large), discounted by 75% |
| 12 | Old backpack | Sells his Kid’s Backpack (Large) at 40% off |
| 15 | Scavenging assistance | Offers three nights of help for 50 Credits |
| 18 | Genuine Hemingway cigarettes | Sells two fake packs at 25% off; inspecting them exposes the real deal |
| 22 | Upper Levels supplies | Offers stolen toiletries at 25% off; can be reported for 100 Credits |
| 27 | Liquid Luck | Gives you one bottle of Liquid Luck for free |
| 32 | More Liquid Luck | Sells three additional bottles at 20% off |
| 37 | Security evidence locker | Offers a stolen Security Department Evidence Locker at full price; can be reported |
| Around Days 25–35 | Spaceship investment | Asks you to lend him money and offers a Scavenger’s Token and IOU |
Should You Give Georgio Money for His Spaceship?

Do you even have to ask? Of course you should do it! My weekly rent had already increased toward 600–700 Credits by the time Georgio returned, so I found the repayment especially valuable.
Around Days 25–35, he tells you he’s building a spaceship to travel across the system (he’s not lying). Unfortunately, he needs additional Credits to finish it. You can either decline his request or lend him a portion of your current money. I suggest you do the latter. He eventually returns FOUR times the amount you lend him, making the loan one of the most profitable storyline decisions.
When Does Georgio Return Your Money?

After receiving the loan, Georgio leaves to finish his spaceship and travel among the stars. Before departing, he bids you farewell with the line: “See you in the stars, my friend!”
He returns approximately 8-10 days after departing for space, some time around Days 33-50. I saw him on Day 49, for example. He returns to your counter after completing his journey and repays four times the recorded loan amount. That means the repayment includes your original amount too, not just the profit.
The Scavenger’s Token

If you agree to fund his spaceship, Georgio offers the Scavenger’s Token as a reward. Don’t sell it; put the token inside your shop’s Display Case. Each Scavenger’s Token placed in the Display Case adds a 20% chance of attracting a Scavenger customer each day. You can also turn in the Scavenger’s Token to improve Black Market or Smuggler reputation.

From what I could tell, these customers can bring useful supplies and offer more trading opportunities. The token’s effect is separate from your Black Market reputation. Georgio also gives you an IOU, which documents the loan. The game tracks the actual amount lent for its repayment event.
Is Georgio’s Scavenging Assistance Worth It?

If you want to go to the Dumping Ground during the three-days window he makes this offer, then yeah, it is worth it. On Day 15, Georgio offers to accompany you on scavenging trips for 50 Credits. The offer lasts for three days. He provides +5 scavenging attempts each night. And his help doesn’t cause any wounds for you or him.
I really loved his offer because I really needed some Scrap Metal, Electronic Parts, and other supplies for my shop. Also, Georgio’s assistance is a one-time scheduled offer. If you decline it on Day 15, don’t expect him to repeat that offer.
Should You Report Georgio to Security?

No, it’s genuinely not worth it, unless you want to be evil (or just dislike Georgio in general). Since some of Georgio’s wares are stolen items, you can report him to security. On Days 22 and 37, he counts as a hidden wanted customer. On Day 37, he brings a Security Department Evidence Locker to you. If you report him on any of these days, you immediately get some Credits, but also your reputation suffers.
If you DO decide to report him, you’ll get +100 Credits, -6 Lower Levels Reputation, and +5 Security Reputation.
Georgio Liquid Luck

Another silly, funny thing Georgio does that actually helps you out a lot.
So Georgio comes to you on Day 27 with a bottle called Liquid Luck. It’s a free sample that’ll certainly get you hooked. On Day 32, he returns with three additional bottles available at a 20% discount. He knows how to run a business, that’s for sure. With a base value of 100 Credits per bottle, each discounted bottle costs approximately 80 Credits. Liquid Luck increases your Luck stat by 75 points for three days.
Luck can influence several systems in Probably Stolen, including inspection outcomes, scavenging injuries, lottery results, scratcher tickets, and supply crate contents. This makes Liquid Luck valuable before these type of activities. Even so, it doesn’t guarantee success in every situation. Even with a substantial Luck bonus, you should still be aware that RNG exists.
Georgio Secret Encounters
There are several other encounters that are minor, but still affect your game:
Georgio Returns Your Radioactive Waste

From Day 3 onward, if you dump your Radioactive Waste in the Dumping Ground, Georgio will bring all of it back to you the day after. He thinks he’s being such a helpful friend. He’s not.
Thankfully, this encounter can happen only once per run. He returns your waste once, and then never again, so the best strategy is to dump one barrel first, let Georgio return it, and then dispose of the remaining waste afterward.
Georgio Delivers Serpico’s Letter

On Day 48, if you previously protected Serpico rather than reporting him, Georgio can deliver a letter containing instructions for the next stage of that quest. The letter leads to an objective involving food deliveries at the Dumping Ground.
Best Choices for Georgio in Probably Stolen

Here’s how I approached Georgio’s storyline. If your goal is to maximize useful rewards and long-term income, you can do the same. The main thing is to avoid lending him so much money that you can’t keep your own shop running.
| Encounter Time | Recommended Action |
|---|---|
| Day 6 | Buy the Scrap Metal if you need materials and the price is worthwhile |
| Day 9 | Consider the heavily discounted water |
| Day 12 | Buy the Kid’s Backpack if you need more carrying capacity |
| Day 15 | Accept assistance if you can scavenge during all three nights |
| Day 18 | Inspect the fake cigarettes; don’t buy immediately |
| Day 22 | Don’t sell him out |
| Day 27 | Take the free Liquid Luck |
| Day 32 | Buy the discounted Liquid Luck and use a lot of lottery tickets |
| Day 37 | Don’t report him |
| Around Days 25–40 | Choose the larger loan if you can safely spare the Credits |
| Around Days 33–50 | Collect the fourfold repayment when Georgio returns |
