Hamsters in Chop Chop Inc ain’t your typical everyday creatures running around their home. They’re connected to the game’s automation system, and you can use them to automatically run machines in the game. Before you can start using them, though, you need to find the hamster family and finish their questline. With that out of the way, let’s do this.

How to Get Hamsters in Chop Chop Inc
You can’t just reach Hamster Home right away. You must first repair the gear mechanism that controls the bridges in the mine. To do that, you should craft a cogwheel at the furnace next to the Woodman Corp wooden building. You need 4x metal ingots to craft one cogwheel.
So what you should do is interact with the gear mechanism and just select Build to repair the broken lever with the cogwheel.
How to Find Hamster Home
Once the lever is fixed, pull it to open up the new paths in the mine. From there, follow the newly opened route until you reach Hamster Home. It’s pretty straightforward once the bridge mechanism is working. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you find Daddy Hamster and his lovely family inside.
When you talk with Daddy Hamster, you’ll learn that Momma Hamster is pregnant.
So he asks you to run a couple of errands and make things comfortable for her. Then go ahead and talk with Momma Hamster to start the hamster questline.
Very Comfortable Pillows Quest
Your first quest is called “Very Comfortable Pillows.” The objectives are clear here:
- Collect 2 worn-out pillows.
- Craft 2 very comfortable pillows.
- Give Momma Hamster the pillows.
The 2 worn-out pillows are in front of Momma Hamster. Retrieve them and get back outside to your crafting table, which is called Workbench in the game.
You need 8 stonewoods to repair the pillows and restore them to their former glory. Since Momma likes her pillows hard, go ahead and put 4 stonewoods inside each pillow. Once you’ve done that, give the pillows to Momma Hamster.
Next, you talk with Daddy Hamster again, and once again, he asks you to get Momma Hamster her favorite snack. She wants pickles in chocolate cream.
A Little Snack Quest
The next quest is called “A Little Snack.”
- Craft one pickles and chocolate mix.
- Give Momma Hamster the pickles and chocolate mix.
Okay, you have to go to your Workbench again. So, in order to make this delicious pickles and chocolate mix, you need 1x Chocolate Cream and 1x Pickled Cucumbers. So, from your PC, which is called Screw It! Supplies, next to the Workbench, go ahead and order them.
Each of them is priced at 10 Gold, so that’s that. You should remember that these are craftable, not cookable. Once your order arrives in a very big box, grab it and interact with the Workbench. Now choose the pickles and chocolate mix and place the three cucumbers in the mix.
Now it’s time to feed Momma Hamster her favorite little snack. Keep at least three hamsters around, though. You’ll need one for the Mysterious Well‘s Flying Hamster ritual along with a balloon and two to build the Electronics Press, which you need if you want to craft Batteries.
Fixing the Pipe Quest
Then it’s time for the third quest, “Fixing the Pipe.”
You get it after Momma Hamster tells you, “Next to the outlet pipe there is also a small inlet pipe. If you occasionally send me one of your treats there, I’ll send the boys up to play.” Which means every now and then, you slip one of these little snacks through the pipe, and in return, she’ll send the boys up to help.
So here are the objectives:
- Check outside for the clogged pipe.
- Free the clogged pipe Daddy Hamster was talking about.
Once you’ve located the pipe, climb up on it so you can use your axe on the clogged exit. It’s that simple.
Hamster Resort Quest
Now you can do the Hamster Resort quest, which requires you to build a hamster cage. You need to have the following to build a hamster cage:
- 1x hamster house
- 10x small animal fence
- 5x small birch beam
- 1x birch plank
Once you have all the materials, go back to the pipe to build the hamster cage. Then you get a notification that Hamstertech is unlocked now. That’s how you know you did the job right.
Time to send Momma her little snack, which is pickles and chocolate mix, so that she sends the hamsters through the pipe for you.
