Waterpark Simulator Art Claims: What’s Actually Going On?

You’ve probably seen the posts. Reddit threads, Steam discussions, people pointing at hands, shoes, eyes, and anything that doesn’t seem to go anywhere. They say some arts are like AI works.

What’s the accusation? Honestly, some of the art looks suspicious. Anyway, the devs deny any use of AI. So what’s the truth? Let’s dive in. You should see!

Why People Are Suspicious

The discussions started about a year ago. A poster of the game became public, and people started talking about the obvious signs of AI in the art.

But the studio has been consistent. The Steam page states that no AI was used in the game, assets, marketing images, videos, or development. The trailer description says the same. The developers pointed to the artist in the credits and even shared a layered PSD of the capsule. Below is the actual words of them:

Still the Questions Linger

The older placeholder artwork made people suspicious of everything. Just a few hours after the full version was released (31st July 2026), everyone started looking for any kind of AI footprint.

This made me do a deeper search into the game and its arts. I played the game myself, and honestly the gameplay was smooth and just as good as I expected. I can’t say I’ve seen any signs of AI in the gameplay or NPCs (I’m not an expert in game development anyway).

The main problem could be about artworks, and I did find some suspicious signs. I can’t say these are proof of AI, but I can’t ignore them either. As I said, the final judgment is up to you.

Arts I Found Weird

Here are all the suspicious artworks I could find related to the game:

The first one is related to the official game cover on Steam. Look at the fingers of the girl, they are four:

This is one of the old posters. Look at the signs I’ve pointed. Anyway the whole background is weird:

This is the other old poster, the one that made the main arguments. People say that the face, eyes and everything about the character is AI like. I’ve pointed the other weird part I’ve seen:

So Where Does That Leave Us?

Suspicion is understandable, especially around the posters. Hard proof that the final game or official marketing relied on generative AI is not currently on the table. Whether an AI base was heavily painted over somewhere in the pipeline remains possible but unconfirmed.

I honestly don’t care much about it. If they’ve really used AI, it’s probably limited to the posters and some arts. The gameplay feels human-made and smooth enough to play for hours. I’ve seen no annoying bugs, gameplay glitches or anything like that. The game has done well (I love things like water gun and spread love mechanics). Its developers are worth appreciating.

Anyway, I felt I should share the evidence I’ve found and I’ll add anything new I see. Finally what are your thoughts? That’s what matters!
