Waterpark Simulator Water Gun | How to Unlock and Spread Love!

The Waterpark Simulator water gun is the first tool everyone wants to get for fun, and what makes this a trending game. Some guests love it, some file a complaint about you afterwards, and the Spread Love with Water Gun objective is refusing to budge for a lot of console players right now. Learn what the tool actually does and why that quest probably isn’t your fault.
What You’ll Read:
How to Unlock the Water Gun
The water gun isn’t in your pocket at the start. To unlock it, you need to head to the research table and press E to access it. The water gun is in the Attractions section, after the Hot Dog Stand thread. Once you’ve unlocked the water gun, you can pick it up from the board to your left and shoot people.

What the Water Gun Actually Does
Two jobs: It cleans, and it soaks guests.
As a cleaning tool, it beats the mop on speed, but cleaning with the water gun earns you no research points, while the mop does. So between finishing faster and actually progressing, I’d say go for progress.
Spraying guests is the main fun thing you can do with a water gun. Some of them love it. Some of them hate it and take it out on you in the end-of-day reviews, where they literally write “I was bullied”. There is no way to know who will love or hate it.
But there is one lead worth chasing yourself. The Tablet’s Visitor Thoughts panel, under the Park tab, tells you what individual guests are thinking. So it’s worth a shot I guess.
Waterpark Simulator Spread Love with Water Gun
First, clear something up: Spread Love with Water Gun is a progression objective with its own counter, not a Steam achievement. There are 71 achievements in the game and not one of them has the word “love” in it. If you’re hunting a trophy for this, stop.
To complete Spread Love with water gun, you need to spray angry guests and get a positive reaction out of them. Or at least, that’s what everyone says. If you cannot find one, you can deliberately let your park fall apart to farm angry guests, although I don’t recommend it.

To be honest with you, most players report that this doesn’t work at all. I researched every gaming discussion and forum that you can think of. This objective only works for some players. So this is obviously a bug that we should hope to be fixed soon. I don’t have a method for you, and anyone who tells you they do right now is guessing.
What I can tell you is that Easy difficulty has worked for some PS5 players who were stuck on Normal. It’s not a guaranteed fix, and it costs you something real: Easy doesn’t count toward Sniff Happens or any other achievement that requires Normal or Hard. Fine for clearing a stuck objective, but bad idea for a run you care about.
How to Spray 100 Smelly Guests (Sniff Happens)
Sniff Happens is an objective that wants you to hit 100 smelly guests with the water gun.
Smelly guests are easy to spot. They carry a visible smell effect, and that’s your only target. Keep the gun equipped while you patrol and pick them off as you go instead of setting aside time to farm.
Two things to know before you start. It only counts on Normal or Hard mode. So Easy and Sandbox runs earn you nothing. And this isn’t purely an achievement chase either, since cleaning up smelly guests shows up as an objective on the way from two to three stars.

How to Cool Off Burning Guests (The Yogi Quest)
This is the one place the game actually requires the water gun, and not just for sheets and giggles.
Start it by talking to the yogi standing outside next to Caymart, marked with a yellow exclamation mark. The quest asks you to cool off guests who are on fire, which raises the obvious question of where you find a guest who is on fire. The answer is you set them on fire!
Crank a sauna or a hot tub to maximum temperature with guests inside and wait. They’ll come running out, burning and screaming. So stand near the exit rather than chasing them. Spray them with the water gun and the flames go out.
There is one requirement before you can do this, though. Your first hot tub is unlocked in the 3-star pool tier. Wellness items have a green background in the build menu if you’re hunting for them.
Water Gun vs Duck Gun vs Water Cannon
The full version 1.0 added two more things that spray water, and players mix them up a lot.
You already know what the water gun is, duh. The duck gun is a separate handheld, bought with cash from the old man at Caymart, and it needs no research at all. The Water Cannon is not a tool you carry. It’s a duck-shaped structure you place in your park that power-washes anyone who walks into range.
That’s everything you need to know about Waterpark Simulator water gun and how to spread love with it. What’s the most fun thing you’ve ever done with this gun? Let me know in the comments below.
FAQ
Does Spread Love with Water Gun count on Easy?
Some stuck PS5 players report the counter moving on Easy after Normal failed. It’s unconfirmed, and Easy voids every achievement that requires Normal or Hard.
Does the water gun work in multiplayer?
Nobody has documented it. Worth noting that 1.0 disabled the spray can in multiplayer but said nothing about the water gun, so it’s likely still live.
How many achievements does Waterpark Simulator have?
71. Older guides say 55, 52 or 60. Those are all pre-1.0 counts and out of date.
