Watch Dogs 2 Deluxe vs Gold: Which One’s Better for You

I’ve always wanted to try Watch Dogs 2. But honestly, as a content writer, my pocket didn’t allow me to. I just saw the 95% discount and bought the GOLD Edition with no hesitation (Yes, I had those 4 dollars!)
Gold Edition has everything the game can offer to a player, but if you want to save some money, Deluxe and even standard editions could be options. I’ll compare them below:
| Edition | Sale Price on 29 June 2026 (USD) | What You Actually Get | Why You Should Buy It |
| Standard | $2.49 ($49.99 full price) | The full base campaign. No extra missions or cosmetic packs. | Buy if you have a strict budget. You get the complete core story, nothing more, nothing less. |
| Deluxe | $2.99 ($59.99 full price) | Base game + 2 exclusive outfit packs + weapon/vehicle/drone skins. No DLC. | Buy this version if you care about skins and outfits. |
| Gold | $3.99 ($79.99 full price) | Base game + Deluxe skins + the Season Pass (all major story expansions, new co-op modes, extra end-game missions). | You have more playable sections, all the skins and additional co-op modes. |
The 95% off will be till the 9th of July.
Gold vs Deluxe Edition:
What Each Edition Includes
Here’s a more detailed look at what you get with each version:
Standard Edition
The standard version is the core game. You get the main story and the whole lovely open world is yours to explore. It is basic and you don’t have access to extra missions or unique skins.
Deluxe Edition

This version has personalization packs. These packs allow you to customize your outfits in the game. You can also set skins from this version on your weapons and drones and vehicles.
Gold Edition

This is the version with everything. In this, you have everything from the Deluxe edition plus the Season Pass. Season Pass actually includes several hours of additional gameplay (DLC). In this version you have access to new co-op difficulty modes and even extra outfits, skins and vehicles.
Gold Edition DLCs: What Are They About
Gold Edition has DLC packs. But what are these DLCs about? You should know this, so the decision making will be easier. Three main DLCs are:
- T-Bone Content Bundle: It focuses on Raymond “T-Bone” Kenney. You get his signature truck, a new outfit for Marcus, and the Mayhem co-op difficulty mode (tougher enemies with advanced weapons).
- Human Conditions: It has three new story missions that dive into San Francisco’s scientific and medical scandals. It adds new co-op missions and a new enemy type (Jammer). Some additional vehicles are also available.
- No Compromise: A single-story mission involving the Russian Bratva mafia. It has new weapons and vehicles and another new co-op mode.
These three DLCs add around 6 to 10 hours of gameplay.
Which One Should You Buy?
The choice is simple when the discount is active, but the prices without the discount have significant differences and the choice is harder.
If you have enough money and you want to experience everything Watch Dogs 2 offers, try the Gold Edition.

You’ll lose DLCs and some co-op options with the Deluxe version. If you don’t care about these two, choose this version.
Finally, if you are on a tight budget and you count on every cent, Standard Edition is for you. When the discount is gone, its price (around 50 dollars) is much less than the 80 dollars of the Gold and the 60 dollars of Deluxe edition.
Important Note: The sale is part of the Steam Summer Sale, which ends on July 9, 2026. Grab your preferred edition before the offer expires.
