Sledding Game does support cross-platform multiplayer between Xbox consoles and PC. However, this crossplay functionality only works if PC players are using the Xbox PC app.
According to the developer’s FAQ and player reports on Reddit, there is currently no crossplay between Xbox and Steam. If you are playing on an Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One, you cannot join a lobby with a friend who purchased Sledding Game through the Steam storefront.
How to Play With Friends Across PC and Xbox
If you want to ensure you can play with your console friends while on PC, you must access the game through the Xbox ecosystem. Sledding Game is an Xbox Play Anywhere title and has been confirmed as a Day One release for Xbox Game Pass.
Because of this, players who have Xbox Game Pass (or purchase the game directly via the Microsoft Store on PC) will be able to easily squad up with players on Xbox consoles in the 2-20 player online lobbies.
