Tarkov EXFIL Brothers is the new referral program in Escape From Tarkov. It arrived with Patch 1.2.0.0 on October 6, 2026. An experienced player invites a new one, and both get rewards. It sounds simple, but one rule catches many players: the new account must be very fresh. Here is everything you need to know.
In This Guide:
What Is EXFIL Brothers in Tarkov?
EXFIL Brothers is a mentor and referral program. It links two players. The experienced one is the Operator. The new one is the Candidate.
When you play raids together, you both get +5% XP. As the Candidate levels up, rewards unlock for both of you.
EXFIL Brothers Requirements
Operator: the account was registered more than 7 days ago, and you have reached level 30 in any Tarkov game mode. You can invite up to 5 Candidates.
Candidate: the account was registered less than 7 days ago.
Players also say the Candidate needs to own the game. The invited friend doesn’t get it for free.
Why Am I Not Eligible for EXFIL Brothers?
It is almost always the 7-day rule. The rule counts the account registration date. It doesn’t care about hours played, when you last played, or whether you are new to PvE.
One Reddit comment claims that upgrading to The Unheard Edition resets your account age. Battlestate has not confirmed this, so don’t pay for it hoping it works.
How to Invite Someone to EXFIL Brothers
- The Operator opens the official Tarkov website and goes to EXFIL Brothers → Management → My Candidates.
- The Operator copies their unique referral link and sends it to the Candidate.
- The Candidate logs in to the Tarkov website, opens the link, and confirms the connection.
How to Find an EXFIL Brothers Operator or Candidate
No friends who fit? The official Steam Community Q&A forum has two pinned threads: “Looking for an Operator” and “Looking for a Candidate.”
You can post your region, language, edition, level, play times and game mode. Many Operators there have 1,000 to 7,000 hours. They offer to teach maps and quests, and some prefer PvE.
EXFIL Brothers Rewards
These are the overall rewards. You don’t get them all at once when you accept an invite.
Candidate rewards:
- 5 Support Kits
- 9,500,000 roubles
- $10,000
- Junk Box
- Ammunition Case
- Magazine Case
- Key Case
- Unique Document, Medicine, Weapon and Item Cases
- Candidate Armband
Operator rewards:
- Up to 1,200 TarCoins per Candidate
- Up to 6 Bitcoins per Candidate
- “Shoulder to Lean On” achievement
- Boot Camp Hideout set
- PMC Operator Upper
- Unique Document, Medicine, Weapon and Item Cases
- Operator Armband
- Posters: Men in Tarkov, Pulp Mission and EXFIL Bros
Note the words “up to.” Each Candidate doesn’t automatically give you 1,200 TarCoins and 6 Bitcoins right away.
The Candidate’s edition also changes the extra Operator rewards. Higher editions give more. A Reddit player says you only get the Documents Case if your Candidate has The Unheard Edition, and that Standard gives few rewards.
EXFIL Brothers Levels: 10, 20 and 30
The progress is split into three levels:
| EXFIL Brothers level | Candidate character level |
| Level 1 | 10 |
| Level 2 | 20 |
| Level 3 | 30 |
Here is how it works:
- Edition-based rewards go to the Operator when the Candidate reaches Level 1.
- The other rewards come as the Candidate passes each level.
- Rewards are given in the game mode where the level was completed.
- When you connect, the Operator immediately gets rewards for levels the Candidate has already finished.
- If the Candidate is already level 30 when you connect, both players get all the rewards at once.
So you don’t need to link up before level 10. You just need the account to still be under 7 days old.
Does EXFIL Brothers Work in PvE?
Yes. It works in Tarkov’s game modes, including PvE, and many Steam posts are from PvE players. Tarkov: Arena is not included. That’s everything about Tarkov Exfil Brothers and how you can get its rewards. Have you been able to get the rewards? Tell us in the comments below.
