Monochrome Roblox Walkthrough: All Keys, Code & How to Escape

Monochrome landed on Roblox already deep in development and doesn’t waste time trapping you inside a sealed house with no map and explanation of what’s hunting you. In this house you’re looking for four keys plus the code 5343 so you can get out and escape from something in the corridors that’s watching you the whole time.
This guide covers everything Paramodal’s escape room throws at you. I will be discussing how the objective works and where to focus your search. Also, here you can find the current code and learn what to do if you get caught.

What Is Monochrome in Roblox?
Monochrome is a horror escape-room experience on Roblox created by Paramodal. The plot is that you wake up sealed inside a grayscale house connected to a maze of abandoned corridors and you’re practically searching for your way out. And you’re not alone, something is watching you during your search.
The game is still in early development and Paramodal has already confirmed a second part is on the way. In this case, there’s a possibility that the game’s mechanic or even the code further down this guide shifts between updates.

How Does Monochrome Work?
Monochrome doesn’t hold your hand. Once you’re in, the loop is:
- Enter the house.
- Explore the corridors.
- Search rooms and furniture.
- Collect four keys.
- Find the code.
- Return to the final panel.
- Escape.
Your Main Objective: Four Keys and One Code
There’s no combat in Monochrome and your entire job is exploration and puzzle-solving. Basically, you’re doing this to achieve two things. The first one is four keys that you need to progress through the house and the second one is one code you need at the final escape panel.
Monochrome Walkthrough: How to Escape
My personal recommendation is to experience the game instead of searching desperately for the keys and code, then come back here and follow these three steps:
Step 1. Leave the Starting Room
You start in a sealed room. Simply, follow the opening route out and into the corridor network. This part is linear, meaning you can’t get lost before you’ve even started.
Step 2. Search Every Room for Keys
Don’t rush the hallways. Check every furniture cluster you pass and I mean every drawer and dresser. Side rooms might also hide progress toward your four keys.
Fixed key locations haven’t been reliably confirmed yet, and as I said earlier, the game is in early development and is still changing between updates.

Step 3. Avoid the Monster While You Explore
Something is watching you the entire time you’re searching and that’s what makes the exploration harder than it sounds. The real challenge in Monochrome isn’t navigation, I’d say it’s not getting caught during the search. To do so, you may want to move deliberately instead of sprinting blindly through corridors. Be ready to break off and hide the moment something feels off.

Monochrome Code
The current Monochrome code is 5343.
Enter it at the final elevator control panel once you’ve collected all four keys. Treat this as the currently confirmed code for the current build rather than something permanent. In any case, I’ll try to inform you of future changes from updates here in the same post.

Tips to beat Monochrome
There are a few things to bear in mind when playing the game in order to get through it more easily. Make sure to search every room completely before moving on, don’t skip furniture just because a room looks empty. Keep track of which rooms you’ve already cleared, the corridors repeat enough that blind backtracking wastes time.
Don’t sprint on instinct, Move fast when you need to and remember sprinting through unexplored corridors is how you get caught. If you reach the panel and the code doesn’t work, stop and check if you have all four keys because the panel won’t engage without them.
How many keys do you need in Monochrome?
Four.
